Thewrenchsocketforthewheelsecuringboltsisinthetoolbox.
Toloosenortightenthewheelboltwithanti-theftprotection,awrenchsocketwiththeappropriatecodingmustbeusedbetweenthewheelboltandthewheel-boltspanner.
Whenpositioningthewrenchsocket,ensurethatitengagesfullyintheteethofthewheelbolt.

Checkingtheelectrolyteuidlevel
Generally,theelectrolytelevelmustbecheckedmoreofteninsummerthaninwinter,andmoreoftenwhendrivinglongdistances.
Whenaddingwater,useonlycleancontainers.Innocasemayalcohol(e.g.windowcleanerresidues)bepermittedtoenterthebattery.
Unscrewandopenthefillerventcapsofeachcell.
Withthecaronalevelsurface,thefluidlevelshouldmeettheindicatormarkineachcell.
Ifnecessary,topupwithdistilledwater.Donotuseacid.Onlyfilluptothemark,otherwisetheelectrolytewilloverflowwhenthebatteryisbeingchargedandcausedamage.
Batterycharging
Automotivebatteriesloosetheirefficiencywhennotinuse.Thechargeavailableinyourbatterycanbemeasuredwithabatteryhydrometer.WerecommendthatthebatteryvoltagebetestedbyyourPorschedealerwhohastheappropriateequipment.
Ifthecarisnotdrivenforprolongedperiods,thebatterymustbechargedatleastevery6weeks.Adischargedbatteryallowsrapidformationofsulfates,leadingtopermaturedeteriorationoftheplates.
