Immobilizer
Thereisatransponder(anelectroniccomponent)inthekeygrip,containingastoredcode.Whentheignitionisswitchedon,theignitionlockchecksthecode.Theimmobilizercanbeswitchedoffandthe
enginestartedonlyusinganauthorizedignitionkey.
Switchingofftheimmobilizer
Inserttheignitionkeyintotheignitionlock.
Iftheignitionisleftonformorethan2minuteswithouttheenginebeingstarted,theimmobilizerisswitchedonagain.
Ifthishappens,turntheignitionkeytotheleftbeforestartingtheengine.Theimmobilizerisswitchedoffagain,andtheenginecanbestarted.

Asaprecaution,havewheelswithsummertiresbalancedinthespring,andthosewithmudandsnowtiresbeforewinter.Unbalancedwheelsmayaffectcarhandlingandtirelife.Onlythespecifiedweightsmaybeusedforwheelbalancing.Self-adhesiveweightsmustnotcomeintocontactwithcleaningagents,sincetheycoulddropoff.Uneventreadwearindicateswheelimbalance.Inthisevent,thevehicleshouldbecheckedatanauthorizedPorschedealer.

Tiresmustalwaysremainonthesamesideofthevehicle.Whenwheelsareremoved,thedirectionofrotationandpositionofeachwheelshouldbemarked.

ApplyathincoatofOptimolyTA(aluminumpaste)onthethreadandbetweentheboltheadandmovablesphericalcapring(arrows).Thebearingsurfaceofthesphericalcapfacingthewheelmustnotbegreased.
Replacedamagedwheelbolts.OnlyusetheOriginalPorschewheelboltsspeciallydesignedforthisvehicletype.
Tighteningtorque
Tighteningtorqueofwheelboltsandwheelnuts:130Nm/96ftlb.
WheelSecuringBolts
Ifthewheelshavetoberemovedattheworkshop,pleasedonotforgettohandoverthewrenchsocketforthewheelsecuringboltsalongwiththecarkey.
Thewrenchsocketforthewheelsecuringboltsisinthetoolbox.
Toloosenortightenthewheelboltwithanti-theftprotection,awrenchsocketwiththeappropriatecodingmustbeusedbetweenthewheelboltandthewheel-boltspanner.
Whenpositioningthewrenchsocket,ensurethatitengagesfullyintheteethofthewheelbolt.
Noteonoperation
Onvehicleswith17mmspacersontherearaxle,thewheelsaresecuredwithwheelnuts.
Onrequest,separateanti-theftprotectionforthewheelnutscanbemounted.PleaseconsultanauthorizedPorschedealer.
