TheTirePressureMonitoringwarnsaboutlossinpressureintwostages,dependingontheamountofpressureloss:

Stage1-Addair
Thepressureinthetireistoolowby3psito6psi(0.2barto0.4bar).Drivingwithinsufficienttirepressurereducestheroadsafetyofthevehicleanddestroysthetireandwheel.
Thetirepressurewarningcontainstheaffectedtirewiththetirepressuretobeadded.Correctthetirepressureatthenextopportunity.
Thistirepressurewarningappearswithvehiclestoppedandcanbedeactivated.Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutwhenthetirepressurehasbeencorrected.
Stage2-Flattire
Thepressureinthetirehasdroppedbymorethan6psi(0.4bar).Thissignificantpressurelossisadangertoroadsafety.
Whenthetirepressurewarninghasappearedontheon-boardcomputer,stopimmediatelyatasuitablelocation.Checkthetireforsignsofdamage.Ifnecessary,fillintiresealantandsetthecorrecttirepressure.
Thistirepressurewarningappearswhendrivingandcanbedeactivated.Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutwhenthetirepressurehasbeencorrected.

TheTirePressureMonitoringrequiresacertainamountoftimetolearnthewheels.Duringthistime,thecurrenttirepressuresarenotavailableontheon-board-computer:
–ThedisplayoftheTirepressurefunctionoftheon-boardcomputershowslines.
–Therequiredpressuresforcoldtiresat68°F(20°C)areindicatedintheInfopressuredisplayintheTirepressuremenu.
–Tirepressurewarningsareissuedwithouttirepressureandpositioninformation(gure)assoonasthevehicle’sownwheelshavebeendetectedandthetirepressurewarninglighthasgoneout.
PositionandpressureinformationisdisplayedassoonastheTirePressureMonitoringhasassignedthewheelsidentifiedasbelongingtothevehicletothecorrectwheelpositions.
Thewheellearningprocesstakesplaceexclusivelywhenthevehicleisbeingdriven.
Manuallycheckthetirepressureatallwheelsandcorrectthetirepressuretotherequiredvalue.
Changingawheelandreplacingtires
Newwheelsmustbefittedwithradiotransmit-tersfortheTirePressureMonitoring.Beforetiresarechanged,thebatterychargestateofthewheeltransmittersshouldbecheckedatanauthorizedPorschedealer.

Thewarninglightinthespeedometerlightsup:

Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutonlywhenthecauseofthefaulthasbeenrectified.
Nomonitoring
IntheeventoffaultstheTirePressureMonitoringcannotmonitorthetirepressure.Thewarninglightontheinstrumentpanellightsupandacorrespondingmessageappearsontheon-boardcomputer.
Monitoringisnotactivewhen:
–theTirePressureMonitoringisfaulty,
–wheeltransmittersfortheTirePressureMonitoringaremissing,
–temporarilyafterchangingawheel(learningphase),
–morethanfourwheeltransmittersaredetect-ed,
–thereisexternalinterferencebyotherradiosources,e.g.wirelessheadphones,
–tiretemperaturesaretoohigh.
