Glove box with light
This has an upper open storage com-partment and locations for storing a small bottle of water, the vehicle’s hand-book, ...
Its lid has locations for storing a pen, to-kens, cards, cans, ...
It is fitted with a lock.
 To open the glove box, raise the handle.
It is lit when the lid is opened.
Ashtray with light/Lighter
 Raise the lid to gain access to the ashtray and the lighter.
 To empty the ashtray, after opening, remove its receptacle.
 To use the lighter, press it and wait a few seconds until it pops out automatically.
 To connect a 12 V accessory (max power: 100 Watts), remove the lighter and connect the appropriate adaptor.
It houses the front passenger air bag disarming switch A and three sockets* B for connecting audio/video equipment (refer to the "Audio and Telematics" section to activate the auxiliary input sockets).
If the vehicle is fitted with air condi-tioning, it provides access to the ven-tilation nozzle C, which can be opened or closed, distributing the same condi-tioned air as the vents in the passenger compartment.
It also permits access to the fuse box in the fascia (refer to the section "Practical information - § Changing a fuse").

Hooked onto the stowing rings, this enables you to secure your luggage.

In the "cabriolet" configuration, the lug-gage space in the boot is restricted.
Load space cover
When it has been removed and folded, the windstop should be stored in its pro-tective case.
This case can be stored by means of a strap on the right-hand side of the boot.

FITTING/REMOVING THE
WINDSTOP
In the "cabriolet" configuration, the windstop improves comfort in the pas-senger compartment.
It is supplied folded in four in its protec-tive case.
Windstop unfolded
Fitting
 Clip the ends of the assemby until a click is heard.
 Unfold the windstop by opening the two parts to 90° until a click is heard.
 Unfold the windstop frame guides.
 Engage the guides in the points located behind the rear seat belts.
 Unfold each of the two parts fully.

 Engage the shafts of the windstop frame in the openings in the rear side trim.
When installing the windstop for the first time:
 position a size 10 open-ended spanner on the hexagonal part of the shaft,
 tighten or slacken without forcing on each side to adjust the depth setting.
 Lastly, always check that the windstop is retained securely.
Removal
 Pull on the shaft supports to release the shafts from the openings in the rear side trim.
 Proceed in the reverse order to fitting for the remainder of the removal.
Storing
 Store the windstop folded in its protective case.
 Use the strap intended to secure the case on the right-hand side of the boot (refer to the "Boot layout" section).

REMOTE CONTROL KEY
System which permits central unlocking or locking of the vehicle using the lock or remotely. It also locates and starts the vehicle, as well as providing protection against theft.
Unfolding the key
 First press button A to unfold the key.
Unlocking the vehicle
Unlocking is confirmed by rapid flashing of the direction indicators for approximately two seconds.
According to version, the exterior mirrors unfold at the same time.
Locking the vehicle
Normal locking using the remote control
Deadlocking using the remote control
 Press the closed padlock to lock the vehicle.
 Press the closed padlock again within five seconds to deadlock the vehicle.
 Press the open padlock to unlock the vehicle.
Unlocking using the key
 Turn the key to the left in the driver's door lock to unlock the vehicle.
 Press the closed padlock to lock the vehicle.
Normal locking using the key
 Turn the key to the right in the driver's door lock to lock the vehicle.
Locking is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approximately two seconds.
According to version, the exterior mirrors fold at the same time.
Unlocking using the remote control

 Turn the key to the right in the driver's door lock to lock the vehicle.
 Turn the key to the right again within five seconds to deadlock the vehicle.

Folding the key
 First press button A to fold the key.
Locating your vehicleConfidential card
 Press the closed padlock to locate your locked vehicle in a car park.
This is indicated by lighting of the courtesy light and flashing of the direction indicators for a few seconds.
Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip which has a special code. When the ignition is switched on, this code must be recognised in order for starting to be possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks the engine management system a few minutes after the ignition is switched off and prevents starting of the engine by anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
This is given to you with the duplicate keys on delivery of your vehicle.
It bears the identification code necessary for any work on the electronic engine immobiliser by a PEUGEOT dealer.
This code is hidden by a film which should not be removed until necessary.
In the event of a malfunction, you are informed by lighting of this warning light, an audible signal and a message on the multifunction display.
In this case, your vehicle does not start; contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible. Press the boot unlocking button on the remote control. The boot opens slightly.

Starting the vehicle
 Insert the key in the starter.
 Wait a few seconds for the starting code to be recognised.
 Turn the key fully towards the fascia to position 3 (Starting).
 When the engine starts, release the key.
Switching the vehicle off
 Immobilise the vehicle.
 Turn the key fully towards you to position 1 (Stop).
 Remove the key from the starter.
Remote control problem
Following disconnection of the vehicle battery, replacement of the remote control battery or in the event of a remote control malfunction, you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your vehicle.
 First of all, use the key in the lock to unlock or lock your vehicle.
 Then, reinitialise the remote control.
If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.
Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR1620/3 volts.Reinitialisation
 Switch off the ignition.
 Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition).
 Press the closed padlock immediately for a few seconds.
 Switch off the ignition and remove the key from the starter.
The remote control is fully operational again.
 Unclip the casing using a coin at the notch.
 Slide the flat battery out of its location.
 Slide the new battery into its location observing the original direction.
 Clip the casing.
 Reinitialise the remote control.
If the battery is flat, you are informed by lighting of this warning light, an audible signal and a message on the multifunction display.
