CLIMATE CONTROL AIR FILTER (IF EQUIPPED)The climate control air filter installed
behind the glove box filters the dust
or other pollutants coming into the
vehicle through the heating and air
conditioning system from the outside
of vehicle. If dust or other pollutants
accumulate in the filter over a period
of time, the air flow from the air vents
may be decrease and the moisture
inside of the windshield easily occurs
than before when the air intake is
outside (fresh) position, then have
the climate control air filter replace
by an Authorized Kia Dealer. The climate control air filter should
be regularly replaced every 10,000
miles, especially in the event that the
vehicle is operated in the severely
air-polluted cities or on dusty rough
roads for a long period, inspect the
air filter more frequently and replace
it earlier. When you try to replace the
climate control air filter by owner
maintenance, replace it performing
the following procedure, and in this
case, be careful to avoid damaging
other components.
Filter replacement1. Open the glove box part way,
reach inside and pull out the elas-
tic line and push the retaining clip
through the hole on the side of the
glove box. Allow the glove box to
open.
