RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE
The maintenance requirements for your new Hyundai are found in Section 5. As the owner, it is your responsibility to see that all maintenance operations specified by themanufacturer are carried out at the appropriate intervals. When the vehicle is used in severe driving conditions, more frequent maintenance is required for some operations. Maintenance requirements for severe operating conditions are also included in Section 5.

For your Hyundai, the Hyundai ISOFIX GR1 / Hyundai Duo /Römer ISOFIX GR1 and the Römer Duo ISOFIX / Britax Duo ISOFIX is approved according to the requirementECE-R44. This seat has been tested extensively by Hyundai and is recom- mended for your Hyundai. NOTE: At present, this seat is the only one complying with that provision. In case that other manufacturers willfurnish proof of a respective certifi- cation, Hyundai is going to evalu- ate this seat carefully and will givea recommendation provided that seat complies to the law. Please ask your Hyundai dealer in this respect. On each side of the rear seat, betweenthe cushion and backrest, are located a pair of ISOFIX anchorage points together with a top tether mounting onthe luggage compartment. During the installing, the seat has to be engaged at the anchorage-points in a way youcan hear it clicking (check by pulling!) and has to be fixed with the Top Tether- belt on the belonging point in the lug-gage-compartment. The installing and the use of a child-seat has to be done according to the installing-manual,which is added to the ISOFIX-seat.ISOFIX Anchor

B990F01HP-GAT BAROMETER The current air pressure is displayed in hpa units where the measurement range is from 720hpa to 1,045hpa.(Theminimum is 1hpa) If the "MODE" switch is pressed for less than 2 seconds from "RelativeAltimeter" mode, the atmospheric pres- sure will be displayed on the display window. B990G01HP-GAT DIGITAL CLOCK If you press "MODE" switch for more than 2 seconds, the mode that you can adjust the time is displayed. How to adjust the time
1. In time adjustment mode, push the
"MODE" switch briefly, and you can adjust "minute". And if you push "MODE" switch once more briefly,you can adjust "hour".
2. Adjust the time by pushing " (UP)",
" (DOWN)" switch when the timeblinks.
3. After adjusting the time, push
"MODE" switch for more 2 seconds,and the mode for adjusting the time is cancelled. B990H01HP-GAT ROAD DISPLAY RESPONSIVE TO VEHICLE SPEED The road display indicator blinks ac- cording to the vehicle speed.

To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the
right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the correspondingdoor mirror.
2. Adjust mirror angle by depressing
the appropriate perimeter switch asillustrated.

o Do not operate the switch con- tinuously for an unnecessary length of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge, soft cloth or approved de-icer.

!WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size or distance of any object seen in thepassenger side rearview mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curved surface. Any objects seen in thismirror are closer than they appear.
B510D02HP-GAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (If Installed) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the front/rear window defroster. To heat the outside rearview mirror glass, push in the switch for the front/rear windowdefroster. The rearview mirror glass will be heated for defrosting or defog- ging and will give you improved rearvision in inclement weather conditions. Push the switch again to turn the heater off. The outside rearview mirror heaterautomatically turns itself off after 20 minutes. HHP2119

1. Push the control switch "SET
(COAST)" and hold it. While the control switch is pushed, the vehiclespeed will gradually decrease.
2. When the desired speed is obtained,
release the control button. B660B01HPB660C02HP-AAT To Cancel the Cruise Speed To disengage the cruise control sys- tem, push the control switch "CAN- CEL". Additionally, the following ac-tions will disengage the system:
o Depress the brake pedal.
o Depress clutch pedal (Manual trans-
mission).
o Shift the selector lever to "N" posi- tion (Automatic transmission).
o Decrease the vehicle speed lower
than the memorized speed by 15km/h(9 mph).
o Decrease the vehicle speed to less
than 40 km/h(25 mph).
o Release the main switch. B660D01L-DAT To Resume the Preset Speed The vehicle will automatically resume the speed set prior to cancellation when you push the control switch "RESUME(ACCEL)" and release it to return (when travelling above 40 km/h).

1. Push the control switch "RESUME (ACCEL)" and hold it.
2. Accelerate to desired speed and release the control switch. While the control switch is held, the ve-hicle will gradually gain speed.

1. POWER ON-OFF Control Knob The radio unit may be operated when the ignition key is in the "ACC" or "ON"position. Press the knob to switch the power on. The LCD shows the radio frequency in the radio mode or thetape direction indicator in the tape mode. To switch the power off, press the knob again. VOLUME Control Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the volume and turn the knob counter- clockwise to reduce the volume. 2. BASS Control Knob Press to pop the knob out and turn to the left or right for the desired bass tone. BAL (Balance) Control Knob Pull the bass control knob further out. Turn the control knob clockwise to emphasize right speaker sound (left speaker sound will be attenuated). When the control knob is turned coun-terclockwise, left speaker sound willbe emphasized (right speaker sound will be attenuated). 3. TREB (Treble) Control Knob Press to pop the knob out and turn to the left or right for the desired treble tone. FAD (Fader) Control Knob Pull the treble control knob further out. Turn the control knob counterclock- wise to emphasize front speaker sound (rear speaker sound will be attenu-ated). When the control knob is turned clock- wise, rear speaker sound will be em-phasized (front speaker sound will be attenuated). 4. TUNE (Manual) Select Button Press the side or side to increase or to decrease the frequency. Press either button and hold down to continu-ously scroll. Release button once the desired station is reached.SEEK Operation (Automatic Channel Selection) Press the TUNE select button 0.5 sec or more. Releasing it will automaticallytune to the next available station with a beep sound. When the side is pressed longer than0.5 second, releasing it will automati- cally tune to the next higher frequency and when the side is pressed longerthan 0.5 second, releasing it will auto- matically tune to the next lower fre- quency. 5. BAND Selector Pressing the button changes the AM, FM1 and FM2 bands. The modeselected is displayed on LCD.
6. PRESET STATION SELECT
Buttons
Six (6) stations for AM, FM1 and FM2 respectively can be preset in the elec- tronic memory circuit on this unit.
