The entire SRSsystem must be inspected by an au- thorized Hyundai dealer in 10 years after the date that the vehicle wasmanufactured. Any work on the SRS system, such as removing, installing, repairering, or anywork on the steering wheel must be performed by a qualified Hyundai tech- nician. Improper handling of the SRSsystem may result in serious personal injury.
The airbags deploy only in certain side impact conditions severeenough to cause significant injury to the vehicle occupants.
o For best protection from the side
airbag system and to avoid beinginjured is by the deploying side impact airbag, both front seat oc-cupants should sit in an upright position with the seat belt prop- erly fastened. The driver's handsshould be placed on the steering wheel at the 9:00 and 3:00 o'clock positions. The passenger's armsand hands should be placed in their laps.
o Do not use any accessory seat covers.
o Use of seat covers could reduce or
prevent the effectiveness of the system.
o Do not install any accessories on
the side or near the side impactairbag.
o Do not use excessive force on the
side of the seat.
o Do not place any objects over the airbag or between the airbag andyourself.
!WARNING:
o The side impact airbag is supple- mental to the driver's and the passenger's three point seat belt systems and is not a substitute for them. Therefore your seat beltsmust be worn at all times whilst the vehicle is in motion.

For the cigar lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" or the "ON" position. To use the cigar lighter, push the lighterall the way into its socket. When the element is heated, the lighter will pop out into the "ready" position.

o Auto mode: Turn to the right or left

2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's luggage compartmentor glove box.
3. Turn the wrench counterclockwise
to open or clockwise to close thesunroof. HGK033B460E01TB-GAT Resetting the Sunroof System If the battery has been recharged, disconnected, if the sunroof is oper- ated with the hexagonal head wrenchmanually, or if the sunroof operation is stopped by that ignition key is turned to the "OFF" position while it is moving,you may need to reset the sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing "open" "up" button at
the same time, turn the ignition switch "ON".
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the
sunroof is reset with tilting up/downautomatically once for all.
! CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not be operated properly.

B870D01FC-GAT ANTENNA Roof Antenna Your car uses a roof antenna to receive both AM and FM broadcast signals. This antenna is a removable type. Toremove the antenna, turn the antenna counterclockwise. To install the an- tenna, turn the antenna clockwise. CAUTION:
o Be sure to remove the antenna before washing the car in an au-tomatic car wash or it may bedamaged.
o Before entering a place with a
low height clearance, be sure toadjust the roof antenna low.
o When reinstalling your antenna,
it is important that it is fully tight-ened to ensure proper reception.

2. Turn the ignition key to and hold at the "Start" position until the enginestarts. When the engine has started,release the key.

2. Simultaneously push and turn the
ignition key counterclockwise from the "ACC" posi-tion to the "LOCK" position.

START NOTE: Do not operate the starter for more than 15 seconds continuously or continue to operate the starter afterthe engine has started to avoid dam- aging the starter motor. If the en- gine makes a false start, allow it andthe starter motor to come to rest before attempting to start the en- gine again. Never attempt to startthe engine with the transaxle in gear. Do not depress the accelera- tor pedal whilst starting the engine.Allow the engine to idle for 20 sec- onds or so before driving the ve- hicle.
CAUTION:
Do not leave the vehicle unattendedwhilst idling. Never allow the ve-hicle to idle or warm up in a con- fined space (ie garage) longer than is necessary to move the vehicleinto an open area.

3- 6 WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY
SD050A2-E SPARE WHEEL (Not all models) The spare wheel is stored under the luggage compartment floor and is ac-cessed from within the luggage com- partment by lifting the carpet and the floor panel.To remove the spare wheel, unscrew the retainer, rotating this in an counter- clockwise direction and lift out the wheel.To replace the wheel, screw the retainer by hand until tight having located the wheel in the luggage compartment floorwell. The inflation pressure of the spare wheel should be checked at least monthly and whenever the wheel isfitted to the vehicle.

5. The temporary spare tyre should
not be used on any other wheels, nor should standard tyre, snow tyre,wheel covers or trim rings be used with the temporary spare wheel. If such use is attempted, damage tothese items or other car compo- nents may occur.
6. The temporary spare tyre pressure should be checked once a monthwhile the tyre is stored.
