D060D02A-AAT 3. Loosen Wheel Nuts The wheel nuts should be loosened slightly before raising the car. To loosenthe nuts, turn the wrench handle coun- terclockwise. When doing this, be sure that the socket is seated completelyover the nut so it cannot slip off. For maximum leverage, position the wrench so the handle is to the left asshown in the drawing. Then, while holding the wrench near the end of the handle, push down on it with steadypressure. Do not remove the nuts at this time. Just loosen them about one- half turn. D060E01A-AAT 4. Put the Jack in Place The base of the jack should be placed on firm, level ground. The jack shouldbe positioned as shown in the drawing.
D060F02E-AAT 5. Raising the Car After inserting a bar into the wheel nut wrench, install the bar into the jack asshown in the drawing. To raise the vehicle, turn the jack handle clock- wise. As the jack begins to raise thevehicle, double check that it is properly positioned and will not slip. If the jack is on soft ground or sand, place aboard, brick, flat stone or other object under the base of the jack to keep it from sinking.Raise the car high enough so that the fully inflated spare tire can be installed. D060H02A-AAT 7. Re-install Wheel Nuts To reinstall the wheel, hold it on the studs, put the wheel nuts on the studsand tighten them finger tight. The nuts should be installed with their small diameter ends directed inward. Jigglethe tire to be sure it is completely seated, then tighten the nuts as much as possible with your fingers again. 8. Lower Vehicle and Tighten

Lower the car to the ground by turning the wheel nut wrench counterclock- wise. Then position the wrench as shown in the drawing and tighten thewheel nuts. Be sure the socket is seated completely over the nut. Do not stand on the wrench handle or use an exten-sion pipe over the wrench handle.
OGK036604 Go around the wheel tightening everyother nut until they are all tight. Thendouble-check each nut for tightness. After changing wheels, have a techni- cian tighten the wheel nuts to theirproper torque as soon as possible. Wheel nut tightening torque: Steel wheel & aluminium alloy wheel: 900-1,100 kg.cm (65-80 lb.ft)

Engine Oil Consumption Function of Engine Oil
Engine oil has the primary function of lubricating and cooling the inside of the engine.
Engine oil consumption It is normal that an engine should consume some engine oil while nor- mal driving. The cause of oil con- sumption in a normal engine are asfollows;
o Engine oil is used to lubricate pis- tons, piston rings and cylinders. A thin film of oil is left on the cylinder wall when a piston moves downwards in the cylinder. High negative pressure generated dur-ing engine operation sucks some of the oil into the combustion cham- ber.This oil with some oil of the cylin-der wall is burned by the high tem-perature combustion gases during the combustion process.

If the oil level is close to or below the"L" mark, add oil until it reaches the "F" mark. To add oil:
1. Remove the oil filler cap by turning it counter-clockwise.
2. Add oil, then check the level again.
Do not overfill.
3. Replace the cap by turning it clock- wise.
The distance between the "F" and "L" marks is equal to about 1 liter of oil. WARNING:
Be very careful not to touch the
radiator hose when adding the en- gine oil as it may be hot enough to burn you.

G050C01A-AAT To Check the Coolant Level
The coolant level can be seen on the
side of the plastic coolant reservoir. The level of the coolant should be between the "L" and "F" lines on the reservoir when the engine is cool. Ifthe level is below the "L" mark, add engine coolant to bring it up between "L" and "F". If the level is low, inspectfor coolant leaks and recheck the fluid level frequently. If the level drops again, visit your Hyundai dealer for aninspection and diagnosis of the rea- son. G050D02A-AAT To Change the Engine Coolant The engine coolant should be changed at those intervals specified in the ve-hicle maintenance schedule in Sec- tion 5.
CAUTION:
Engine coolant can damage the fin- ish of your car. If you spill engine coolant on the car, wash it off thor- oughly with clean water.

1. Park the car on level ground, set the parking brake and remove the radia- tor cap when cool.
2. Be sure your drain receptacle is in place. Open the drain cock on the radiator. Allow all the engine cool-ant to drain from the cooling sys- tem, then securely close the drain cock.
3. Check Section 9 for the capacity of the cooling system in your car.Then, following the manufacturer'sdirections on the engine coolant container, add the appropriate quantity of engine coolant to theradiator. 4. Turn the radiator cap counterclock-
wise without pressing down on it,until it stops. This relieves any pres- sure remaining in the cooling sys- tem. And remove the radiator capby pushing down and turning coun- terclockwise. Now fill the radiator with clean dem- ineralized or distilled water. Con- tinue to add clean demineralized ordistilled water in small quantities until the fluid level stays up in the radiator neck. 1. Allow the bulb to cool. Wear eye
protection.
2. Open the engine hood.
3. Always grasp the bulb by its plastic base, avoid touching the glass.

4. Disconnect the power cord from the bulb base in the back of the head- light. OGK076066N
6. Disconnect the connector from thebulb base in the back of the head- light. 7. Push the bulb spring to remove the

5. To replace the rear combination light
(stop/tail light, turn signal light, back- up light) take it out from the bulb holder by turning it counterclock- wise.
6. Install the new bulb.

4. Disconnect the power cord from the woofer speaker.

8. To replace the rear combination light
(stop/tail light, back-up light, turn signal light), take it out from the bulb holder by turning it counter- clockwise.
9. Install the new bulb.

7. To detach the rear combination light hit it strongly by hand.
1. Remove the mounting screws of therear fog light cover with a phillips screwdriver.
2. Disconnect the power cord by turn-
ing the bulb cover counterclockwiseand take the bulb out from the bulb cover by turning it clockwise.
