2FUEL RECOMMENDATIONS
B010A02A-EAT THIS VEHICLE MUST ONLY BE OP- ERATED WITH UNLEADED FUEL.SERIOUS DAMAGE WILL RESULTFROM THE USE OF LEADED FUEL. For the optimal vehicle performance, we recommend you to use unleaded petrol with an octane rating of RON(Research Octane Number) 95 /AKI (Anti Knock Index) 91 or higher. You may use unleaded petrol with anoctane rating of RON 91~94/AKI 87~90 but it may result in slight performance reduction of the vehicle. To prevent accidental charging of thefuel tank with leaded fuel, a small diam-eter filler neck along with a restrictor flap are fitted to ensure that only un- leaded fuel pump nozzles may enterthe filler neck. However, care must be exercised when refuelling the vehicle tank from fuel cans or by means of afunnel that the fuel being used is un- leaded. The use of leaded fuel in this vehiclewill result in irreversible pollution of the catalyst element. Such pollution will prevent correct operation of the cata-lyst and give rise to increased operating temperatures leading to the catalyst element melting and restricting the ex-haust flow along with an increase in exhaust emission levels.

UNLEADED
FUEL ONLY ZB010C1-E "Alternative fuels" Fuels which contain methanol or etha- nol must not be used. ZB010F2-A Fuels for Cleaner Air To help contribute to cleaner air, Hyundai recommends that you use fuels treated with detergent additives, which help to prevent deposit forma-tion in the engine. These fuels will help the engines run cleaner and increase the Emission Control System perfor-mance.
ZB010D1-E Operation in Foreign Countries Drivers of vehicles which are to be operated in foreign countries must satisfy themselves that:
o The vehicle meets all local regula-
tions with respect to insurance, specifications etc..
o The correct types and grades of fuel
are available for satisfactory opera-tion of the vehicle.
CAUTION:
The vehicle warranty will not ex- tend to damage arising from the use of incorrect fuels.
6OWNER MAINTENANCE

NOTE:
o SAE 5W-20 (5W-30), ILSAC GF-3 engine oil is preferred regardless of regional option and engine variation.
o If SAE 5W-20, ILSAC GF-3 engine oil is not available, secondaryrecommended engine oil for cor- responding temperature rangecan be used.ENGINE OIL
SG030A1-E The correct engine oil level is of para- mount importance. An excessively high or low oil level may result inirreparable damage being sustained by the engine. The engine oil level must be checked on a daily basis orwhenever the vehicle is refuelled, whichever occurs sooner. In addition, it is imperative that only an approved grade and specification of oil is used to avoid the possibility of serious engine damage and prema-ture wear. The use of "budget price" oil is a false economy that must be avoided if the maximum reliability anduseful life is to be obtained from the vehicle. G030B02O-EAT
Recommended Oil
The engine oil quality should meet the
following classification.
API SJ, SL or ABOVE, ILSAC GF-3 or ABOVE The oil viscosity should be selected
according to the operating environ- ment of the engine by means of thetable shown above. The engine oil recommendations are complete in themselves and the use of additivesis neither required nor recommended. The use of engine oil additives may result in invalidation of the vehiclewarranty.
