2007 GMC YUKON display

O(On/Off):Press this button to turn off the
climate control system. Outside air will still enter
the vehicle, and will be directed to the oor.
This direction can be changed by pressing the
mode button. Recirculation can be selected once
you have selected vent or bi-level mode. The
temperature can also be adjusted using either
temperature button. If you adjust the air delivery
mode or temperature settings with the system
off, the display will illuminate briey to show you
the settings and then return off. Press the
on/off button or the up down arrows on the fan
switch, the defrost button, AUTO button, or the air
conditioning button to turn the system on when
it is off.
Manual Operation
You may manually adjust the air delivery mode or
fan speed.
y9 z(Fan):The buttons with the fan symbols
allow you to manually adjust the fan speed.
Press the up arrow to increase fan speed and the
down arrow to decrease fan speed.Pressing one of these buttons when the system
is off will turn the system on. Pressing one of these
buttons when in automatic control will place the
fan under manual control. The fan setting will
remain displayed and the AUTO light will turn off.
The air delivery mode will remain under
automatic control.
yNz(Mode):Press the mode up and down
buttons to manually change the direction of
the airow in your vehicle. Repeatedly press the
button until the desired mode appears on the
display. Pressing one of these buttons when the
system is off will change air delivery mode without
turning the system on. Pressing one of these
buttons when in automatic control will place the
mode under manual control.
The air delivery mode setting will be displayed and
the AUTO light will turn off. The fan will remain
under automatic control.

The interior temperature sensors located in the
headliner above the driver side seat and in
the headliner above the second row seats
measure the temperature of the air inside your
vehicle.There is also an exterior temperature sensor
located behind the front grille. This sensor reads
the outside air temperature and helps maintain the
temperature inside the vehicle. Any cover on
the front of the vehicle could cause a false reading
in the displayed temperature.
The climate control system uses the information
from these sensors to maintain your comfort setting
by adjusting the outlet temperature, fan speed, and
the air delivery mode. The system may also supply
cooler air to the side of the vehicle facing the sun.
The recirculation mode will also be used as needed
to maintain cool outlet temperatures.

Automatic Operation
AUTO:Press the mode button until this setting is
selected to control the inside temperature, the
air delivery, and the fan speed. AUTO will come on
the display when automatic operation is active.
+/−(Increase/Decrease Temperature):Press
the+or−buttons to increase or decrease
the cabin temperature. The rear control
temperature display will show the temperature
setting decreasing or increasing.
The display will only indicate climate control
functions when the system is in rear
independent mode.
Manual Operation
z9(Fan):The fan buttons on the rear seat
audio control panel allows you to manually adjust
the fan speed. To decrease airow, press the
button with the fan and down arrow symbol.
Pressing the fan up button when the system is off
will turn the system on. The air delivery mode
will remain under automatic control. To turn
the rear system off, keep pressing the button with
the fan and down arrow symbol.
+/−(Increase/Decrease Temperature):These
buttons select the temperature of the air owing into
the passenger area. Press the + button for warmer
air and press the−button for cooler air.
N(Mode):Press the mode button to manually
change the direction of the airow in your vehicle.
Repeatedly press the button until the desired
mode appears on the display. Multiple presses will
cycle through the delivery selections.

Speedometer and Odometer
Your speedometer lets you see your speed in
both miles per hour (mph) and kilometers
per hour (km/h).
Your vehicle’s odometer works together with the
driver information center. You can set a Trip A and
Trip B odometer. See “Trip Information” under
DIC Operation and Displays (Using DIC Buttons)
on page 245orDIC Operation and Displays
(Using Trip Odometer Reset Stem) on page 250.
The odometer mileage can be checked without
the vehicle running. Simply press the trip stem on
the instrument panel cluster.
If your vehicle ever needs a new odometer
installed, the new one will be set to the correct
mileage total of the old odometer.
Trip Odometer
The trip odometer can tell you how far your
vehicle has been driven since you last set the trip
odometer to zero.
Press the reset button, located on the instrument
panel cluster next to the trip odometer display,
to toggle between the trip odometer and the
regular odometer. Holding the reset button for
approximately one second while the trip odometer
is displayed will reset it.
To display the odometer reading with the ignition
off, press the reset button.
Tachometer
Your tachometer displays the engine speed in
revolutions per minute (rpm).

Charging System Light
The charging system
light will come on briey
when you turn on the
ignition, but the
engine is not running,
as a check to show you
it is working.
It should go out once the engine is running. If it
stays on, or comes on while you are driving,
you may have a problem with the charging system.
It could indicate that you have problems with a
generator drive belt, or another electrical problem.
Have it checked right away. Driving while this
light is on could drain your battery.
When this light comes on the DIC will also display
the battery not charging message. SeeDIC
Warnings and Messages on page 252.
If you must drive a short distance with the light on,
be certain to turn off all your accessories, such
as the radio and air conditioner.
Voltmeter Gage
When your engine is not
running, but the ignition
is in RUN, this gage
shows your battery’s
state of charge in
DC volts.
When the engine is running, the gage shows the
condition of the charging system. The gage
may transition from a higher to lower or a lower to
higher reading, this is normal. Readings between
the low and high warning zones indicate the
normal operating range.

Fog Lamp Light
The fog lamps light will
come on when the fog
lamps are in use.
The light will go out when the fog lamps are
turned off. SeeFog Lamps on page 206for more
information.
Cruise Control Light
This light comes on
whenever you set your
cruise control.
The light will go out when the cruise control is
turned off. SeeCruise Control on page 200
for more information.
Highbeam On Light
This light will come on
when the high-beam
headlamps are in use.

Tow/Haul Mode Light
This light is displayed
when the Tow/Haul
mode has been
activated.

Low Fuel Warning Light
This light, under the fuel
gage, will come on
briey when you
are starting the engine.
This light and a chime will come on when the fuel
tank is low on fuel. There will also be a “FUEL
LEVEL LOW” message on the Driver Information
Center, seeDIC Warnings and Messages on
page 252for more information. When you add fuel
this light and message should go off. If it does not,
have your vehicle serviced.
Driver Information Center (DIC)
Your vehicle has a Driver Information Center (DIC).
The DIC displays information about your vehicle.
It also displays warning messages if a system
problem is detected.
All messages will appear in the DIC display
located below the tachometer in the instrument
panel cluster.
The DIC comes on when the ignition is on. After a
short delay, the DIC will display the information
that was last displayed before the engine was
turned off.

DIC Operation and Displays
(Using DIC Buttons)
The DIC has different displays which can be
accessed by pressing the DIC buttons located
on the instrument panel, next to the steering
wheel.
The DIC displays trip, fuel, and vehicle system
information, and warning messages if a system
problem is detected.
The DIC also allows some features to be
customized. SeeDIC Vehicle Customization (With
DIC Buttons) on page 262for more information.
You can also use the trip odometer reset stem
to view some of the DIC displays. See″DIC
Operation and Displays (Using Trip Odometer
Reset Stem)″later in this section.
DIC Buttons
The buttons are the
trip/fuel, vehicle
information,
customization, and
set/reset buttons.
The button functions are
detailed in the following
pages.
3(Trip/Fuel):Press this button to display the
odometer, trip odometer, fuel range, average
economy, fuel used, timer, and transmission
temperature.
T(Vehicle Information):Press this button to
display the oil life, units, tire pressure readings
for vehicles with a Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM)
system, engine hours, Tire Pressure Monitor
(TPM) system programming for vehicles with a
TPM system, and remote keyless entry transmitter
programming.
