The instrument panel cluster is
designed to let you know about manyimportant aspects of your vehicle’s
operation. It is important to read yourOwner Manual and become familiar with the information being relayed toyou by the lights, gauges and indicators,as well as what action can be taken toensure safety and to prevent damage.

Customization Button
• Press once and the vehicle settings
will be displayed. Press again to
scroll through and set the customiza tion features.
Select Button
• Press to select your customiza
tion feature setting while it isdisplayed on the DIC, and to move
on to the next feature.
• The customization features can be
reset to their default mode by holding
and down for four seconds.
Language Options
• If you find that the unit displays a lan
guage other than the one you preferand you are unable to change it, hold
and down until the display
begins cycling through the threeavailable languages. Release the buttons when you see the preferredlanguage.
Displaying Driver Preferences
• The driver preferences are recalled
by pressing memory button 1 or 2
located on the driver’s door. The lastvalue displayed for each preferenceis saved automatically.

SAFETY & SECURITY
Lockout Protection
Prevent your ignition key from being
locked in your vehicle
• When the key is in the ignition and
a door is open, pressing any power
door lock switch unlocks the driver’sdoor and locks all other doors.
See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.
OnStar®(if equipped)
If your vehicle is OnStar equipped, the
OnStar system provides in vehicle safety,
security, and phone services, available
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These
services are easily accessed through the
three OnStar buttons in your vehicle.
• Press the blue OnStar button to con
nect to an OnStar Advisor for services
such as OnStar Vehicle Diagnosticsor driving directions and locationassistance.*
• Press the white Phone button to make
phone calls using OnStar Hands FreeCalling.**
• Press the red Emergency button to
connect to an OnStar Advisor who
can contact a nearby emergency
services provider to request emer gency services be dispatched to yourlocation.

Content Theft Deterrent System
Arm the Content Theft Deterrent
System
• Lock the doors using the power door
lock switch or by pressing the Lockbutton on the Remote Keyless Entrytransmitter.
• After closing all doors, the security
light on the instrument panel cluster
stops flashing and remains lit. After adelay of about 30 seconds, the lampdarkens and the system arms itself.
• When arming with the power door
lock switch, at least one door must beopen and the key must be removed
from the ignition. (A door does nothave to be open to arm the systemwith the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter.)
• The system will not arm if the door is
locked with a key or the manual doorlock button is pressed.
• If the alarm is tripped, the horn
sounds and the headlamps/taillamps
flash for about two minutes. Thealarm sounds whenever a lockeddoor is opened without the key or
Remote Keyless Entry transmitter, or
if someone attempts to turn on the
ignition without the correct key.
Turn off the alarm
• Unlock a door with the key or press
Unlock on the Remote Keyless Entry
transmitter.
• Starting the engine with the correct
key will also turn off the alarm.

CONVENIENCE
Headlamp Controls
The exterior lamps knob is located on
the instrument panel, to the left of thesteering wheel.
Turn off the Daytime Running Lamps
(DRL) and automatic headlamp
system
•Move the knob to the Off ( )
position.
The automatic headlamp system auto
matically reactivates at the next key on.
Activate the Daytime Running Lamps
(DRL) and automatic headlamp system
• Move the knob to the Auto ( )
position.
•The automatic headlamp system will
turn on all exterior lamps and theinstrument panel/radio lights whenthey are needed during the day orwhen the vehicle is shifted out ofPark at night.
Load multiple CDs
1. With the ignition on, press and hold
the LOAD button for two seconds.The unit beeps and the light to theright of the slot begins to flash.
2. When the light stops flashing and
turns green, insert a disc partway,label side up.
3. The indicator light will begin blinking
and then turn green. Load anotherdisc at this time.
4. When loading more than one but
fewer than six CDs, press the LOADbutton again to signal that loading iscomplete.
When more than one disc is loaded,
a number for each disc is displayed.
5. To play a specific CD, press the CD
AUX button and then the number of
the CD you want to hear.
Asmall bar appears under the CD
number that is playing, and the tracknumber appears.

Note:CDs with any affixed labels may
jam in the CD player. Label a CD using
a permanent marker. If more than oneCD is inserted into the slot at one time,or if scratched or damaged CDs are
played, the CD player could be dam
aged. When using the CD player, useonly CDs in good condition withoutlabels; load one CD at a time; and keepthe CD player and the loading slot freeof foreign materials, liquids or debris.

Heated, Power Outside Mirrors
(if equipped)
Activate heat feature on the power
outside mirrors
• Press the rear window defogger
button on the climate control panel.
See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.
Outside Mirror with Curb View
Assist (if equipped)
This feature automatically adjusts the
passenger side mirror downward to apreset tilt position when the vehicle is in
Reverse gear. The mirror returns to itsnormal position when the vehicle ismoved out of Reverse. See your OwnerManual to activate this system for thefirst time.

Interior Lamps
Your vehicle is equipped with illuminated
entry and exit lighting as well as domelamps.
Activate illuminated entry feature
• Open a door or press the Unlock
button on your Remote Keyless Entry
transmitter.
• With all doors closed, the dome
lamps stay illuminated briefly and turn
off automatically.
Disable entry and exit lighting
•Push in the Dome Lamp Override
button located below the exteriorlamps switch (see “A” above). This
will override the illuminated entry fea ture unless the Remote Keyless Entrytransmitter is used to unlock the
vehicle. The Dome Lamp Overridefeature is useful when the vehicledoors need to be open for a longperiod of time.
