TO REDUCE MEMORISED SPEED
The speed memorised can be increased in two ways:
❒disengaging the device and then memorising the
new speed;
or
❒moving the stalk downwards (–) until reaching the
new speed which will be memorised automatically.
Each operation of the stalk will correspond to a slight
reduction in speed (about 1 km/h), while keeping the
stalk downwards continuously will correspond to a
continuous speed reduction.DEVICE DISENGAGEMENT
Turn the ring (A) to OFF or the ignition key to STOP.
The device is automatically deactivated also in one of
the following cases:
❒pressing the brake or clutch pedal.

WARNING
In the event of device malfunction or failure, turn the knurled ring (A) to OFF and
contact a Fiat Dealership after checking the protective fuse integrity.WARNING
When travelling with the device on, do not put the gearbox lever in neutral.
FAILURE WARNINGS
Any electric power steering failure is indicated by
cluster warning light gcoming on (together, where
provided, with the message on the reconfigurable
multifunction display - see the “Warning lights”
chapter).
In the event of electric power steering failure, the car
can be driven with mechanical steering to the closest
Fiat Dealership.IMPORTANT The steering may become slightly stiff
following parking manoeuvres including a great deal of
steering. This is normal and caused by the system to
prevent motor overheating. No servicing is required.
The electrical power steering system will return to
normal operation the next time the car is used.

WARNINGAlways switch the engine off, remove the key from the starting device and actuate
the steering lock before carrying out any maintenance operation, especially when
the wheels are raised from the ground. In case this is not possible (e.g. when the
key must be in MAR position or the engine running), remove the electric power
steering main fuse before carrying out any maintenance operation.

EXTERNAL LIGHT FAILURE
The warning light on the dial turns on (on certain
versions together with the message on the
display) when one of the following failures is
detected: broken circuit, “missing” or burnt-out
bulb, wrong bulb power. Light check concerns:
taillights, brake lights (3rd stop light excluded),
rear fog lights, headlights, direction indicators
and number plate lights.
The failure referring to these lights could be: one
or more blown bulbs, a blown protection fuse or
a cut-off electric connection.
Symbols
¯/˙(where provided) coming

WHEN NEEDING TO
CHANGE A BULB
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
❒When a light is not working, check that it has not
fused before changing the bulb. For the location of
the fuses, refer to “If a fuse blows” in this chapter;❒Before replacing a bulb that does not work, check
that the contacts are not oxidised;
❒Burnt bulbs must be replaced by others of the
same type and power;
❒Always check the height of the headlight beam after
changing a bulb.
Only touch the metal part when handling halogen bulbs. If the transparent bulb is touched it
reduces the intesity of the light emitted and can also reduce the life of the bulb. If you touch the
bulb accidentally, rub it with a cloth moistened with alcohol and leave it to dry.
WARNING
Modifications or repairs to the electrical system carried out incorrectly and
without bearing the features of the system in mind can cause malfunctions with
the risk of fire.WARNING
Halogen bulbs contain pressurised gas which, if broken, may cause small fragments
of glass to be projected outwards.
