NEVER REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY BEFORE THE ENGINE HAS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.
IT IS ESSENTIAL ALWAYS TO DRIVE WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, SO AS TO RETAIN STEERING AND BRAKING ASSISTANCE (risk of the steering lock engaging and loss of safety features).
When stationary, having removed the key, carefully turn the steering wheel if you wish to lock the steering.
S: STEERING LOCK
To unlock the steering, gently move the steering wheel while turning the key, without exerting undue force.
When you remove the key, turn your steering wheel to lock the steering. The key can only be removed when in position S.
M: DRIVE POSITION
The steering is unlocked (by turn-ing the key in position M, if neces-sary move the steering wheel).
STARTING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE
See “Driving”.
ECONOMY MODE
In order not to discharge the bat-tery while the engine is stopped, your vehicle goes automatically into economy mode after a max-imum of 30 minutes. Economy mode is indicated by a message on the screen.
The electrical components relating to comfort and also the headlamps (not sidelamps or hazard warning lamps) cut out automatically. To reactivate them, it is necessary to start the engine.
Depending on your vehicle ver-sion, the following warning lamps are tested:
If one of these warning lamps does not light up, this indicates a mal-function.
D: STARTING
Release the key as soon as the engine starts. Never turn it while the engine is running.

The system has a differentiated adjustment for the driver's side and passenger's side, in terms of temperature and air distribution. The air fl ow is common to both sides.
Symbols and messages relating to the automatic air conditioning controls will display on the multifunction screen.
2. TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the temperature, press on button 2a to modify the temperature on the passenger's side and on but-ton 2b to modify it on the driver's side.
An adjustment around 21 will give you the optimum comfort level. However, depending on your preferences anywhere between 18 and 24 is quite usual.
Operating the air conditioning system on “AUTO” guar-antees good ventilation inside the cabin.Note: There may be a discrepancy between the actual cabin temperature and the fi gure displayed.
This is the normal operating mode for the system. Depending on the temperature chosen, a press on this button, confi rmed by the lighting of the warning lamp, will automatically and simultaneously bring all the fol-lowing functions into play:Air fl ow.Air
Cabin temperature.
Air distribution.Air
Air inlet.Air
It is recommended to keep all the air vents open. Just by pressing any of the buttons, except for temperature 2a and 2b, you can change to manual mode. The warn-ing lamp goes out.

AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Activation
When you press button A, the automatic mode automatically and simultaneously controls the air fl ow and air distribution for the rear air conditioning.
The warning lamp on button Alights up.
It is recommended to keep both air vents open.
Deactivation
A press on any of the buttons B, C or D, deactivates the automatic operation of the rear air condition-ing.
The warning lamp on button Agoes out.
Remark: If the air conditioning in the front of the cabin is stopped (function deactivated in the “Air conditioning” menu or via the con-trol 4 for adjusting the air fl ow), then the rear automatic air condi-tioning is not available.
ADJUSTING THE AIR FLOW
If you press buttons B or D you increase or decrease the fl ow for the rear air conditioning.
The number of diode(s) lit up, composing the symbol for air fl ow (helix, situated between buttons Band D) expresses its power level.
To deactivate the air fl ow and air distribution for the rear air condi-tioning, press successively on but-ton D so that all the diodes go out.
DISTRIBUTION TO FOOT-WELLS/HEADS
Successive presses on button Cwill modify the distribution of the air fl ow.
Three directions are available:Passengers' heads.
Passenger footwells.PassengerPassengers' heads and foot-wells.
The arrow lit up indicates the dis-tribution of air chosen manually. In “AUTO” mode, no arrow lights up.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE FLOW OF AIR INTO THE STORAGE UNDER THE FRONT CEN-TRAL ARMREST
If you choose a maximum fl ow of air in the rear by pressing Band distribution towards passen-gers' heads by pressing C, having closed the rear air vents, you will obtain a maximum fl ow of air into the storage beneath the armrest.

Traf fi c Announcements (TA) is dis-played. I do not receive any traf fi c i n f o r m a t i o n o r p u b l i c a n n o u n c e -ments.
The particular radio station is not in the regional t raffi c infor-mation network.Change to a radio station that does broadcast traffi c information.
The rec eption qualit y of the radio station being listened to gradually deteriorates.
The vehicle is too distant from the transmitter, or no transmitter is present in the geographical area you are passing through.
Activate the RDS function to allow the system to check whether a more power ful transmitter is to be found in the geographical area.
The environment (hills, high buildings, tunnels, underground car parks, etc.) is blocking reception, even in RDS mode.This phenomenon is normal and does not imply anythi ng wrong with the radio.
The aerial is absent or has been damaged (for example a fter going through a car wash or in an underground car park).Have the aerial checked by a CITROËN dealer.
When the engine is not running, the radio stops after a few minutes.
When the engine is switched off, the working time for the radio depends on the battery charge. The interruption is normal.: the radio goes into economy mode, cutting off in order to save the vehicle’s battery.
You have to star t the engine so as to increase the battery charge.
The message “the audio system is ove-rheating” appears on the screen.
In order to protect the audio equipment in excessive ambient temperatures, the radio goes into an automatic thermi c pro-tection mode which results in a reduction in sound volume or stopping of the CD player.
Switch off the audio system for a few minutes in order to allow the system to cool down.
