MAINTENANCE INDICATOR
It informs you when the next routine service is due in accordance with the vehicle servicing schedule in the Main-tenance Guide. This information is dependent on two parameters: the mileage covered, and the time elapsed since the last visit.
Operation
From switching on the ignition and for a few seconds, the span-ner symbolising maintenance operations lights up ; the instru-ment panel tells you the distance remaining to the next service.
Example: there remain up to the next service:
A few seconds after this, the engine oil level indicator is displayed, then the total mileage recorder resumes its normal role. The instrument panel gives the total and trip mile-ages.
Operation if the distance to the next service is less than 1 000 km (600 miles)
Each time you switch on the igni-tion and for 5 seconds, the span- n e r a n d t h e d i s t a n c e fl a s h .
Example: There remain up to the n e x t s e r v i c e : 5 0 0 k m ( 5 0 0 m i l e s ) . On switching on the ignition and for 5 seconds, the instrument panel indicates:
A few seconds after this, the engine oil level indicator is displayed, then the total mileage recorder resumes its normal role and the mainte-nance symbol remains lit up.
This is a warning to you that a service must be carried out at the earliest opportunity.
The instrument panel gives the total and trip mileages.
Operation if the service interval has been passed
Each time you switch on the igni-tion, the maintenance symbol and the distance covered (preceded by a m i n u s ) b e y o n d t h e r e c o m m e n d e d i n t e r v a l fl a s h .
Example: You have passed the serv- i c e i n t e r v a l b y 3 0 0 k m ( 3 0 0 m i l e s ) .
The routine service on your vehicle needs to be carried as soon as pos-sible.

OPERATION IN SPORT OR SNOW AUTOMATIC MODE
With the lever on D, press button A to select any of the driving modes SPORT, SNOW or NORMAL.
NORMAL mode is selected by default when you start the engine. This driv-ing mode is designed for the more usual types of driving condit ions.
No warning lamp will light up in the instrument panel.
SNOW mode is for a more cautious driving style on slippery roads.
The warning lamp in the instrument panel is lit up.
SPORT mode is for more responsive driving, to provide maximum performance and acceleration.
The warning lamp in the instrument panel is lit up.
Remark: The driving mode selected before you switched off the engine will be retained the next time you start up.
Flashing of the warning lamp for the position requested signals that this position has not yet been reached. W h e n t h e w a r n i n g l a m p i s p e r m a n e n t , t h e p o s i t i o n i s c o n fi r m e d .
If there is an operating fault:A sharp hesitation may be felt when you select AR for reverse gear.
The gearbox is stuck in a gear.
Do n o t e x c e e d 1 0 0 k m / h ( 6 2 m p h ) .
Consult a CITROËN dealer as soon as possible.
