Driver Seat Height Adjuster
The driver’s seat height adjuster is located on the
outboard side of the seat.
To raise the seat, move the lever upward
repeatedly until the seat is at the desired height.
To lower the seat, move the lever downward
repeatedly until the seat is at the desired height.
Manual Lumbar
If your vehicle has this
feature, the knob is
located on the front
of the driver seat
lower cushion on the
inboard side.
Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to
increase or decrease the lumbar support.

Doors and Locks
Door Locks
{CAUTION:
Unlocked doors can be dangerous.
Passengers, especially children, can
easily open the doors and fall out of a
moving vehicle. When a door is locked,
the handle will not open it. You
increase the chance of being thrown
out of the vehicle in a crash if the doors
are not locked. So, wear safety belts
properly and lock the doors whenever
you drive.
Young children who get into unlocked
vehicles may be unable to get out.
A child can be overcome by extreme
heat and can suffer permanent injuries
or even death from heat stroke. Always
lock your vehicle whenever you
leave it.

Outsiders can easily enter through an
unlocked door when you slow down
or stop your vehicle. Locking your
doors can help prevent this from
happening.
There are several ways to lock and unlock your
vehicle.
To lock the driver’s door from the outside, turn the
key clockwise. To unlock the door, turn the key
counterclockwise.
You can also use the remote keyless entry
transmitter, if equipped, to lock and unlock the
doors.
From the inside, use the manual lock knobs on
each door or the power door lock switch to
lock and unlock all doors.

Fog Lamps
If equipped, the fog
lamp button is located
on the instrument panel,
to the left of the
steering wheel.
The ignition must be on to turn your fog lamps on.
Push the button to turn the fog lamps on.
An indicator light on the cluster will come on
when the fog lamps are on. Push the button
again to turn the fog lamps off.
The parking lamps will automatically turn on and
off when the fog lamps are turned on and off.
The fog lamps will turn off while the high-beam
headlamps are turned on.
Some localities have laws that require the
headlamps to be on along with the fog lamps.
Instrument Panel Brightness
The control for this
feature is located on
the instrument panel
to the left of the
steering wheel.
Turn the knob clockwise to brighten the lights or
counterclockwise to dim the instrument panel
lights, when the headlamps are on.

Climate Controls
Climate Control System
With this system you can control the heating,
cooling, and ventilation for the vehicle.
Operation
To change the current mode, select one of the
following:
H(Vent):This mode directs air to the instrument
panel outlets.
)(Bi-Level):This mode directs about half of
the air to the instrument panel outlets, and
then directs the remaining air to the oor outlets.
Cooler air is directed to the upper outlets and
warmer air to the oor outlets.
6(Floor):This mode directs most of the air to
the oor outlets with some air directed to the
windshield and side windows.
The left knob can also be used to select defog or
defrost mode. Information on defogging and
defrosting can be found later in this section.
9(Fan):Turn the center knob clockwise or
counterclockwise to increase or decrease the
fan speed. In any setting other than off, the fan
will run continuously with the ignition on. The fan
must be turned on to run the air conditioning
compressor.
9(Off):To turn the fan off, turn the knob all the
way counterclockwise to the off position.
Temperature Control:Turn the right knob
clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or
decrease the temperature inside the vehicle.

Defogging and Defrosting
Fog on the inside of windows is a result of high
humidity (moisture) condensing on the cool window
glass. This can be minimized if the climate control
system is used properly. There are two modes to
clear fog or frost from the windshield and side
windows. Use the defog mode to clear the windows
of fog or moisture and warm the passengers. Use
the defrost mode to remove fog or frost from the
windshield more quickly. For best results, clear all
snow and ice from the windshield before defrosting.Turn the left knob to select the defog or
defrost mode.
-(Defog):This mode directs about half of
the air to the windshield and the side window
outlets and half to the oor outlets. When
you select this mode the system runs the air
conditioning compressor. To defog the windows
faster, turn the temperature control knob clockwise
to the warmest setting.
0(Defrost):This mode directs most of the
air to the windshield, with some air directed to
the side window outlets and the oor outlets.
When you select this mode the system runs
the air conditioning compressor. To defrost the
windows faster, turn the temperature control knob
clockwise to the warmest setting.

Setting the Time
Without Date Display
AM/FM Base Radio with a Single
CD Player
This type of radio has aH(clock) button for
setting the time. You can set the time by
following these steps:
1. Turn the ignition key to ACC (accessory) or
RUN. Press the
O(power) knob, located in
the center of the radio, to turn the radio on.
2. Press the
Hbutton until the hour numbers
begin ashing on the display. Press
the
Hbutton a second time and the minute
numbers begin ashing on the display.3. While either the hour or the minute numbers
are ashing, turn the
f(tune) knob, located
on the upper right side of the radio, clockwise
or counterclockwise to increase or decrease
the time.
4. Press the
Hbutton again until the clock
display stops ashing to set the currently
displayed time; otherwise, the ashing stops
after ve seconds and the current time
displayed is automatically set.
To change the time default setting from
12 hour to 24 hour, press the
Hbutton and
then the pushbutton located under the forward
arrow label. Once the time 12H and 24H are
displayed, press the pushbutton located under
the desired option to select the default. Press
the
Hbutton again to apply the selected default,
or let the screen time out.

Six-Disc CD (MP3) Player
This type of radio has a MENU button instead of
the
Hbutton to set the time and date.
To set the time and date, follow these instructions:
1. Turn the ignition key to ACC (accessory) or
RUN. Press the
Oknob, located in the
center of the radio, to turn the radio on.
2. Press the MENU button. Once the clock
option is displayed.
3. Press the pushbutton located under that label.
The HR, MIN, MM, DD, YYYY displays.
4. Press the pushbutton located under any one
of the labels that you want to change. Every
time the pushbutton is pressed again, the time
or the date if selected, increases by one.
Another way to increase the time or date,
is to press the right
¨SEEK arrow
or
\FWD button.
To decrease the time or date, press the
left
©SEEK arrow orsREV button,
or turn the
fknob, located on the upper
right side of the radio.The date does not automatically display. To see the
date press the MENU button and then the
Hbutton
while the radio is on. The date with display times
out after a few seconds and goes back to the
normal radio and time display.
To change the time default setting from 12 hour
to 24 hour or to change the date default setting
from month/day/year to day/month/year, follow
these instructions:
1. Press the
Hbutton and then the pushbutton
located under the forward arrow label.
Once the time 12H and 24H, and the date
MM/DD/YYYY (month, day, and year)
and DD/MM/YYYY (day, month, and year)
displays.
2. Press the pushbutton located under the
desired option.
3. Press the
Hor MENU button again to apply the
selected default, or let the screen time out.

Radio with CD (Base)
Playing the Radio
O
(Power/Volume):Press theO(power) knob
to turn the system on and off.
Turn the
O(volume) knob clockwise or
counterclockwise to increase or decrease
the volume.
The radio goes to the previous volume setting
when the radio is turned on. The volume can still
be adjusted by using the volume knob.
Finding a Station
BAND:Press this button to switch between FM1,
FM2, or AM. The selection displays.
f(Tune):Turn thefknob to select radio
stations.
©SEEK¨:Press the left©or right¨SEEK
arrow to go to the previous or to the next station
and stay there.
To scan stations, press and hold either the
left
©or right¨SEEK arrow for a few seconds
until a beep sounds. The radio goes to a station,
plays for a few seconds, then goes to the next
station. Press either the left
©or right¨SEEK
arrow again to stop scanning.
The radio only seeks and scans stations with a
strong signal that are in the selected band.
4(Information):Press the4button to switch
the display between the radio station frequency
and the time. While the ignition is off, press
the
4button to display the time.
