µ To switch from low
beams to high beams, push the left
lever forward until you hear a click.
The high beam indicator will come
on (see page ). Pull it back to
return to low beams. To flash the
high beams, pull the lever back
lightly, then release it. The high
beams will stay on as long as you
hold the lever back.
Turn the fog lights on and off by
turning the switch next to the
headlight switch.
You can use the fog lights only when
the headlights are on low beam.
They will go off when you turn the
headlights off or onto high beam. This
feature turns off the headlights,
parking lights, taillights, and license
plate lights within 15 seconds of
removing the key from the ignition
switch and closing the driver’s door.
You can change this 15 second timer
to 0, 30, or 60 seconds (see page ). With the headlight switch in the off
or position, the high beam
headlights and the high beam
indicator come on with reduced
brightness when you turn the
ignition switch to the ON (II)
position and release the parking
brake. They remain on until you turn
the ignition switch of f , even if you
set the parking brake.
This feature activates if you leave
the headlight switch in the or
position, remove the key, then
open and close the driver’s door.
If you remove the key f rom the
ignition switch with the headlight
switch on, but do not open the door,
the lights will turn of f af ter 10
minutes. The lights will turn on again when
you unlock or open the driver’s door.
If you unlock the door, but do not
open it within 15 seconds, the lights
will go off. With the driver’s door
open, you will hear a lights-on
reminder chime.

The headlights revert to normal
operation when you turn them on
with the switch. The level of brightness is shown on
the multi-information display while
you adjust it. It goes out 5 seconds
af ter you f inish adjusting.
When the multi-information display
shows a ‘‘DRL OFF’’ message, the
daytime running lights are of f .
Follow the procedure in the previous
page to turn them on.
To reduce glare at night, the instru-
ment panel illumination dims when
you turn the light switch to or. Turning the Select/Reset
knob f ully to the right until you hear
a click will cancel the reduced bright-
ness.
If you see a ‘‘CHECK DRL
SYSTEM’’ message on the multi-
inf ormation display, there is a
problem in the high beam headlight’s
circuit. Take your vehicle to a dealer
to have it checked.
The Select/Reset knob on the
instrument panel controls the
brightness of the instrument panel
lights. Turn the knob to adjust the
brightness. Instrument Panel Brightness

regularly carry heavy items in the
trunk or pull a trailer, readjustment
may be required. Adjustments
should be done by your dealer or
other qualif ied mechanic.Your vehicle has halogen headlight
bulbs, one on each side. When
replacing a bulb, handle it by its steel
base and protect the glass from

objects. If you touch the glass, clean
it with denatured alcohol and a clean
cloth.
The low beam headlight bulbs are a
type of high voltage discharge tube.
High voltage can remain in the
circuit even with the light switch of f
and the key removed. Because of
this, you should not attempt to
examine or change a low beam
headlight bulb yourself . If a low
beam headlight bulb fails, take the
vehicle to your dealer to have it
replaced.
