SPEEDOMETER AND ODOMETER

The odometer records the total distance the
vehicle has been driven.
The twin trip odometer records the distance of
individual trips.Changing the display:

Resetting the trip odometer:
Push the reset knob

for more than 1 second
to reset the trip odometer to zero.
Outside air temperature displayWhen the outside air temperature is 3°C or
lower, the display blinks to give a warning.
If the outside air temperature becomes 3°C or
lower when the display is in one of the other
modes, the display switches to the outside air
temperature display mode and blinks. If the
outside air temperature becomes above 3°C or
the display mode is not switched for 1 minute, it
returns to the display mode previously set.
Even while the display is blinking, the display
mode can be switched to the one previously set
by pushing the reset knob.
The ambient temperature sensor is located in
front of the radiator. The sensor may be affected
by road or engine heat, wind directions and
other driving conditions. The display may differ
from the actual ambient temperature or thetemperature displayed on various signs or bill-
boards.

1. Remove the luggage floor board. (See “Lug-
gage floor board” earlier in this section.)2. Take out the crank handle

Turn the handle clockwise to close the sun-
roof.
If the sunroof is tilted up, turn the handle
counterclockwise.
Have a NISSAN dealer check and repair the
sunroof.
ROOM LIGHTThe room light has a three-position switch.
When the switch is in the centeror DOOR
position
2, the light will illuminate when a door
(including back door) is opened.
When the switch is in the “ON” position
1, the
light will illuminate.
When the switch is in the “OFF” position
3, the
light will turn off.
Interior light timerThe room light will stay on for about 30 seconds

Audio main operationHead unit:
The tape deck employs a permalloy head which
allows for improved reproduction of high fre-
quency ranges. Noise is also greatly reduced by
the use of the Dolby NR (Noise Reduction)
system. The auto loudness circuit enhances the
low frequency range automatically in both radio
reception and tape and CD playback.
PWR/Volume control:
Turn the ignition key to ACC or ON, and then
push the PWR/VOL (Volume) control knobwhile
the system is off to call up the mode (radio, tape
or CD) which was playing immediately before
the system was turned off. When no CD or tape
is loaded, the radio will come on. While the
system is on, pushing the PWR/VOL control
knobturns the system off.
To turn the radio off, press the PWR/VOL
control knob.
Turn the PWR/VOL control knobto adjust the
volume.
MENU button:
Press the MENU button to change the selecting
mode as follows.BASS→TREBLE→FADER→BALANCE→
CLOCK ON/OFF→(clock adjustment)→
RADIO→BASS
See “CLOCK” in the “2. Instruments and con-
trols” section for the clock adjustment.
To adjust Bass, Treble, Fader and Balance,
press the MENU button until the desired mode
(BASS, TREBLE, FADER or BALANCE) ap-
pears in the display. Press the TUNE (

) or SEEK (
,
) button to adjust
Bass and Treble to the desired level. Use the
TUNE or SEEK button also to adjust Fader or
Balance modes. Fader adjusts the sound level
between the front and rear speakers and Bal-
ance adjusts the sound between the right and
left speakers.
