LOAD BUT TON
To insert a CD in the CD changer, press the LOAD button, select a slot (1-6) and load the CD. To
insert 6 CDs in the CD changer in succession, press the LOAD button for more than 1.5 seconds.
R ADIO BAND SELECT
Press the RADIO band select button to change the band as follows:
n Without satellite radio: AM FM1 FM2 AM
n With satellite radio: AM FM1 FM2 SAT1 SAT2 AM
SCAN BUT TON
To scan quickly through each broadcasting station, press the SCAN button. The tuner will
pause for 5 seconds on each broadcasting station. When the SCAN tuning button is pushed
while a CD is being played, the beginning of all the tracks of the CD will be played for 10
seconds in sequence.
PT Y ( Program) BUT TON
Use the PTY (Program) button to search for certain program types such as ROCK,
COUNTRY, JAZZ, CLASSICAL, etc.
SEEK / TR ACK BUT TON
To find the next broadcasting station, press the SEEK/TRACK button. To skip from one track
to another on a CD, press the SEEK/TRACK button. Each time the button is pressed, the CD
will advance or skip back one track.
DISP ( Display) BUT TON
Pressing the DISP button will display additional information (for example: Title, Artist name).
TUNE /REW/FF BUT TON
To fast forward or rewind a CD track, press the REW/FF button. The CD will play at an
altered speed until the button is released. To manually tune the radio, press the TUNE button.
RPT BUT TON
n To adjust the digital clock display, press the RPT button for more than 1.5 seconds until
the clock display starts to flash. Press the SEEK/TRACK button to adjust the hour. Press
the TUNE button to adjust the minutes.
n To change the play pattern of the CD, press the RPT button.
STATION AND CD SELECT BUT TONS
To store a radio station preset you must first tune to the desired station. Then press the
desired station select button until a beep is heard. The channel indicator will come on,

indicating memorization is complete.
AUDIO BUT TON
Adjust the BASS, TREBLE, FADE, BALANCE and AUDIO PILOT by pressing the AUDIO button until the desired mode appears in the display.
MP3 PL AYBACK (if so equipped)
In addition to playing audio CDs, this audio system can play MP3 files recorded on CD-ROM,
CD-R, and CD-RW discs. Each disc can have a maximum of 8 folder levels and 255 folders.
A total of up to 512 MP3 files can be played back. During MP3 playback, some recorded ID3
tag information can be displayed by pressing the
DISP button.

HEADLIGHT AND TURN SIGNAL CONTROL
HE ADLIGHT SWITCH
n Turn the headlight switch to theposition to
turn on the front parking, side marker, tail, license
plate and instrument panel lights.
n Turn the headlight switch to theposition to
turn on the headlights. All other lights remain on.
HIGH BE AM
n Push the headlight switch forward to select the high beam function. The blue indicator light illuminates. Pull the headlight switch back to the original
position to select the low beam. The blueindicator light goes off.
n Pull and release the headlight switch to flash the headlight high beams on
and off.
TURN SIGNAL SWITCH
n Move the headlight control switch up or down to signal the turning direction.
When the turn is completed, the turn signals cancel automatically.
n To signal a lane change, move the headlight control switch up or down to the
point where the indicator light begins to flash, but the headlight control switch
does not latch.
03STEERING WHEEL SWITCHES FOR AUDIO
CONTROL (if so equipped)
n With the ignition switch turned to the ACC or
ON position, push the
PWR (Power) on/off
switch to turn the audio system on or off.
n Push the MODE select switch to change
the mode.
• Without satellite radio: AM, FM1, FM2, and
CD or CD changer.
• With satellite radio: AM, FM1, FM2, SAT1, SAT2 and CD changer.
n The SEEK switch can be used to perform the following:
• Radio memory change – Push the

switch for less than 1.5 seconds to
change the radio frequency.
CRUISE CONTROL
n To initiate cruise control, press
ON. (The CRUISE indicator light will illuminate.)
n To establish a cruising speed, accelerate to the
desired speed, press
COAST/SET and release.
(The
SET indicator light will illuminate.)
n To establish a faster or slower cruising speed,
press on the brake or accelerator to the desired
speed, press
COAST/SET and release.
n To resume a preset speed, press ACCEL/RES and release.
n To turn cruise control off, press CANCEL , tap the brake pedal or turn the
main switch off. If you press
CANCEL or tap the brake pedal, the SET light
will go out; if you turn off the main switch, the
CRUISE light goes out.
TRIP COMPUTER
The trip computer may be used to check items such
as speed, outside air temperature, distance to empty
(fuel), average mileage and speed, elapsed time and
distance traveled, and tire pressure (if so equipped). It
also has a stop-watch function. Additionally, it is used
to operate the RPM shift feature (REV) (Manual

transmission only).
To operate the Trip Computer:
Turn the ignition switch on. Then press the side of
the buttons.
n Press the button 01 toward the left to scroll
through each mode.
n Press the button 02 toward the left to reset or
adjust the various mode selections.
06WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER SWITCH
Note: The intermittent function is

located in the middle of the windshield

wiper/washer switch.
 The ignition switch must be in the
ON position to activate the

windshield wipers.
 Push the lever down to operate the
windshield wipers.
 Switch operation includes:
Intermittent – Wipers operate intermittently and can be adjusted by
turning the time control. Also, the intermittent operation speed varies in
accordance with the vehicle speed. (For example, when the vehicle speed
is high, the intermittent operation speed will be faster.)
Low speed – Wipers operate at a continuous low speed.
High speed – Wipers operate at a continuous high speed.
Mist – Lift the lever up for one sweep operation of the wiper.
Wash – Pull the lever toward you. Wipers automatically wipe several times.

INFO BUT TON
When the INFO button is pressed,
the Maintenance screen will
be displayed.
To set the maintenance interval for
the Engine Oil or Oil Filter, choose
an item using the joystick and
press the
ENTER button.
You can also set the display

to remind you that maintenance
needs to be performed.
CLOCK SET TINGS
Press the SETTING button, select the “Clock” key and press the ENTER button to
access the following clock settings:
n On-screen clock – When this item is turned to ON, a clock is always displayed
in the upper right corner of the screen. The clock is automatically adjusted by the
GPS system.
n Clock format – Choose either the 12-hour clock display or the 24-hour
clock display.
n Offset adjust –Adjust the time by increasing or decreasing per minute.
n Daylight Savings Time – Turn this item to ON for daylight savings time application.
n Time Zone – Choose the time zone.
Refer to your Owner’s Manual and Navigation System Owner’s Manual for additional
information on your navigation system.

02TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS) OFF
SWITCH (if so equipped)
The vehicle should be driven with the Traction Control
System (TCS) on for most driving conditions. When
the vehicle is stuck in mud or snow, TCS reduces
the engine output to reduce wheel spin. The engine
speed will be reduced even if the accelerator is
depressed to the floor. If maximum engine power is
needed to free a stuck vehicle, turn the TCS off.
 To turn off the TCS, push the TCS OFF switch. The indicator light will come on.
 Push the switch again or restart the engine and the system will operate normally.
• Radio tuning – Push the

switch for more than 1.5 seconds to seek the
next or previous radio station.
• CD or CD changer track change – Push the

< >
switch for less than 1.5
seconds to return to the beginning of a CD track or skip to the next track.
• CD or CD changer disc change – Push the tuning switch up or down for

more than 1.5 seconds to change the playing disc up or down.
• MP3 folder change – Push the tuning switch up or down for more than

1.5 seconds to change the folders (if folders exist).

to help you better understand the important safety warnings, features, operation, and
maintenance of your vehicle.

09AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROLThis system automatically controls air flow distribution and fan speeds to help keep
the vehicle interior at a constant temperature. To initiate automatic operation, turn the
air flow control dial to
AUTO and turn the temperature dial to the desired temperature.
AIR FLOW CONTROL DIAL/REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER BUTTON
Automatically maintains the selected temperature.
Air flows from the center and side vents.
Air flows from the center and side vents, as well as the foot outlets.
Air flows mainly from the foot outlets.
Air flows from the defroster and foot outlets.
Air flows mainly from defroster outlets.
Press the center of the air flow control button to turn the rear defroster and heated
mirrors on.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL/AIR INTAKE BUTTON
Turn the temperature dial to the left or right to set the desired temperature. Press
the center of the temperature control button to recirculate the interior air or to bring
fresh air into the vehicle. NOTE: When the center button is pressed to recirculate the
interior air, the A/C will automatically turn on (if not already on). This is done to help
reduce window fogging.
FAN CONTROL DIAL/A/C (Air Conditioner) BUTTON
Turn the fan control dial to the left or right to manually set the fan speed or allow
automatic control of fan speed. Press the
A/C button to turn the air conditioning
system on or off .
NOTE: When the fan is turned from the off position to
AUTO or any “on” position,
the A/C will automatically turn on. When the A/C is turned off, the air intake button
will change to the fresh air position (if set in the recirculate position).
DEFROSTING/DEFOGGING REAR WINDOW AND OUTSIDE HEATED MIRRORS
 Push the rear window defroster switchon. The indicator light on the button
will come on.
• The rear window defroster automatically turns off in approximately 15 minutes,
or push the switch again to manually turn the switch off.
