The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted to your preferred rear vision,both directly behind the vehicle, and to the rear of the left and right sides. The remote control outside rearviewmirror switch controls the adjustments for both right and left outside mirrors.

B510A01A-AAT Manual Type The outside rearview mirrors are equipped with a remote control for your convenience. It is operated by thecontrol lever in the bottom front corner of the window. Before driving away, always checkthat your mirrors are positioned so you can see behind you, both to the left and right sides, as well as directly behindyour vehicle. When using the mirror, always exercise caution when attempt- ing to judge the distance of vehiclesbehind or along side of you. B510A01HP
CAUTION:
If the mirror control is jammed with ice, do not attempt to break it free using the control handle or by ma-nipulating the face of the mirror. Use an approved spray de-icer (not radiator antifreeze) to release thefrozen mechanism or move the ve- hicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.

91PARKING BRAKE
B530A01A-AAT Always engage the parking brake be- fore leaving the car. This also turns on the parking brake indicator light when the key is in the "ON" or "START" position. Before driving away, be surethat the parking brake is fully released and the indicator light is off.
o To engage the parking brake, pull the lever up as far as possible.
o To release the parking brake, pull up the lever and press the thumb button. Then, while holding the but- ton in, lower the brake lever. B530A01HP

1. Pressing the
button turns the auto-

HPB270C2-E OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (Not all models) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with heated front/rear window.So, to heat the outside rearview mirror glass, push in the switch for heated front/rear window.The rearview mirror glass will be heated for defrosting or defogging and will give you improved rear vision in all
weather conditions. Push the switch again to turn the heater off. The outside rearview mirror heater au-tomatically turns itself off after 20 min- utes.

o Do not operate the switch continu- ously for an unnecessary lengthof time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge,soft cloth or approved de-icer.
WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size ordistance of any object seen in the passenger side rearview mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curved sur-face. Any objects seen in this mirror are closer than they appear.

YB270D2-E FOLDING THE OUTSIDE REAR- VIEW MIRRORS To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear. The outside rearview mirrors can be folded rearward for parking in restrictedareas.
WARNING:
Do not adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors whilst the vehicle is moving. This could result in loss ofcontrol, and an accident causing death, serious injury or property damage. The interior mirror is of the day/nighttype to enable the glare of headlights from following vehicles to be eliminated during night time driving.The tab located at the bottom of the mirror should be set to the position nearest the windscreen for normal daytime driving, and flipped towards the rear of the vehicle to eliminate glare during night time driving. To adjust thefield of vision, the mirror may be moved by hand upon the mounting. NOTE: The mirror should always be ad- justed prior to setting the vehicle in motion.

When closing the bonnet, slowly close the bonnet and make sure it locks into place.
WARNING:
o Always double check to be sure that the bonnet is firmly latched before driving away. If it is not latched, the bonnet could open whilst the vehicle is being driven,causing a total loss of visibility, which might result in an accident.
o Do not move the vehicle with the bonnet in the raised position, asvision is obstructed and the bon- net could fall or be damaged. B580A01HP-EAT Sun visors are fitted to both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle. Cer-tain derivatives are equipped with a vanity mirror which is located on the back of the passenger visor. The visormay be lowered to reduce the amount of glare from directly ahead, or may be moved towards the side window to re-duce glare from the side of the vehicle, once the inner pivot has been unclipped from the bracket.
