If the mirror control is jammed withice, do not attempt to break it free using the control handle or by ma- nipulating the face of the mirror. Usean approved spray de-icer (not radia- tor antifreeze) to release the frozen mechanism or move the vehicle to awarm place and allow the ice to melt.

Before driving away, always check thatyour mirrors are positioned so you can see directly behind you. When using the mirror, always exercise caution whenattempting to judge the distance of vehicles behind you.
