o The SRS airbag system must de-
ploy very rapidly to provide pro- tection in a crash. If an occupant is out of position because of notwearing a seat belt, the airbag may forcefully contact the occupant causing serious or fatal injuries.o Do not install a child restraint sys-tem in the front passenger seat position. A child restraint systemmust never be placed in the front seat. The infant or child could be severely injured or killed by anairbag deployment in case of an accident.
o Do not allow children to ride in the
front passenger seat. If older chil-dren (teenagers and older) must ride in the front seat, make surethey are always properly belted and that the seat is moved back as far as possible.
o For maximum safety protection in all types of crashes, all occupantsincluding the driver should alwayswear their seat belts whether or not an airbag is also provided at their seating position to minimizethe risk of severe injury or death in the event of a crash. Do not sit or lean unnecessarily close to theairbag while the vehicle is in mo- tion.o The driver should sit back as far aspossible while still maintaining control of the vehicle. If you aresitting too close to the airbag, it can cause death or serious injury when it inflates.
o No objects should be placed over or near the airbag modules on thesteering wheel, instrument panel, and the front passenger's panel above the glove box, because any such object could cause harmif the vehicle is in a crash severe enough to cause the airbags to deploy.
o If the airbags deploy, they must be replaced by an authorized Hyundaidealer.
o Do not tamper with or disconnect SRS wiring, or other componentsof the SRS system. Doing socould result in injury, due to acci- dental firing of the airbags or by rendering the SRS inoperative.

Replacing a Fusible Link
A fusible link will melt if the electrical circuits from the battery are ever over-loaded, thus preventing damage to the entire wiring harness. (This could be caused by a short in the systemdrawing too much current.) If this ever happens, have a Hyundai dealer determine the cause, repair the sys-tem and replace the fusible link. The fusible links are located in a relay box(1.6L/2.0L) or below the positive(+) post cover of the battery (2.7L) for easy inspection. CAUTION:
When replacing a fusible link, never
use anything but a new fusible link with the same or lower amper-age rating. Never use a piece of wire or a higher-rated fusible link. This could result in serious dam-age and create a fire hazard.
Good G200B02A-AAT Replacing Accessory Fuse The fuse box for the lights and other electrical accessories will be foundlow on the dashboard on the driver's side. Inside the box you will find a list showing the circuits protected by eachfuse. If any of your car's lights or otherelectrical accessories stop working, ablown fuse could be the reason. If the fuse has burned out, you will see that the metal strip inside the fuse hasburned through. If you suspect a blown fuse, follow this procedure:

If the SRS SRI (Service Reminder Indicator) does not come on, or continuously remains on,have your vehicle immediately in- spected by your Hyundai authorised repairer. Any work on the SRS system, such as removing, installing, repairing, or anywork on the steering wheel must be performed by a qualified Hyundai tech- nician. Improper handling of the SRSsystem may result in serious personal injury.

FUSIBLE LINKS
SG200A1-E The fusible link prevents damage to the wiring harness in the event of an electrical system malfunction. Failureof a fusiblelink is indicative of a seri- ous overload condition having oc- curred and therefore the electricalsystem should be checked by a Hyundai authorised repairer before a replacement link is fitted. WARNING:
Under no circumstances should a
fusible link be replaced with any-thing other than a new link of thesame rating. The use of higher rated links or other means of con- necting the circuit will create apotential fire hazard.
