Odometer The odometer records the total driving distance in kilometers or miles, and isuseful for keeping a record for mainte- nance intervals. NOTE: Any alteration of the odometer may void your warranty coverage. 2,3 Trip odometer Records the distance of 2 trips in kilo- meters or miles.TRIP A: First distance you have trav- eled from your origination point to a first destination.TRIP B: Second distance from the first destination to the final destination. To shift from TRIP A to TRIP B, press the reset switch. When pressed for 1 second, it will reset to 0.

B400B03GK-GAT The trip computer is a microcomputer- controlled driver information gauge that displays information related to driving,such as estimated distance to empty, average speed and drive time on the LCD. Reset Switch
o The reset switch is used to zero the
multi-functional display mode.
o Pushing in the reset switch on the left side of tachometer changes the display as follows; 1. Distance to Empty
o This mode provides the estimated
distance to empty from the current fuel level in the fuel tank.
o The trip computer may not register additional fuel if less than 6 liters(1.36 gallons) of fuel are added to thevehicle.
o When the battery has been rein-
stalled after being discharged ordisconnected, drive more than 32km for an accurate distance to empty.

than 50 km (30 miles), the distance to empty digits (---) will blink untilmore fuel is added.
NOTE:
o The distance to empty can differ from the actual tripmeter accord- ing to driving conditions.
o The distance to empty can vary
according to the driving condi-tions, driving pattern or vehicle speed. 2. Average Speed (km/h or MPH)
o This mode indicates the average
speed travelled since the last aver- age speed reset.
o To reset the average speed to zero, press and hold the reset switch formore than 1 second while the aver- age speed is being displayed. 3. Drive Time
o This mode indicates the drive time
travelled since the last drive time reset.
o To reset the drive time to zero, press and hold the reset switch formore than 1 second while the drivetime is being displayed.

B410A01A-AAT (If Installed) The instrument panel lights can be made brighter or dimmer by turning the instrument panel light control knob. B420A02A-AAT For the cigarette lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" position orthe "ON" position. To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the way into its socket. When theelement has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressedin. This can damage the heating ele- ment and create a fire hazard. If it is necessary to replace the ciga-rette lighter, use only a genuine Hyundai replacement or its approved equiva- lent.

B400A01GK-GAT There are three control buttons for the digital clock. Their functions are: H - Push "H" to advance the hour indi-
cated.
M - Push "M" to advance the minute
indicated.
R - Push "R" to reset minutes to ":00"
to facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time. When this is done: Pressing "R" between 11 : 01 and 11: 29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 11 : 59 changes the readout to 12 : 00.

B460D03GK-AAT Manual Operation of Sunroof If the sunroof does not electrically op- erate:
1. Remove the cap located in the rear roof panel by using a coin or screw driver. 2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's trunk or glove box.
3. Push and turn the wrench clockwise
to close or counterclockwise to openthe sunroof.

OGK046021 B460E03GK-GAT Resetting the Sunroof System If the battery has been recharged, disconnected or if the sunroof is oper-ated with the hexagonal head wrench manually, you may need to reset the sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing " " "up" button at the
same time, turn the ignition switch"ON". The resetting is failed when the ignition key to the "OFF" within1.5 seconds.
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the sunroof is reset with tilting up/down automatically once for all.
CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not be operated properly.

o Decrease the vehicle speed to lessthan 40 km/h (25 mph).
o Release the main switch. B660D01E-GAT To Resume the Preset Speed The vehicle will automatically resume the speed set prior to cancellation when you push the control switch upward to"RESUME (ACCEL)" position and re- lease it, providing the vehicle speed is above 40 km/h (25 mph).

5. To increase speed, depress the accelerator pedal enough for the vehicle to exceed the preset speed. When you remove your foot from the accelerator pedal, the vehiclewill return to the speed you have set.
WARNING:
To avoid accidental cruise controlengagement, keep the cruise con- trol main switch off when not using the cruise control. B660C01GK-GAT To Cancel the Cruise Speed To disengage the cruise control sys- tem, pull the control switch toward the steering wheel to "CANCEL" position.Additionally, the following actions will disengage the system :
o Depress the brake pedal.
o Depress the clutch pedal (Manual
transaxle).
o Shift the selector lever to "N" posi- tion (Automatic transaxle).
o Decrease the vehicle speed lower than the memorized speed by 15km/h (9 mph). OGK016662

1. Push the control switch upward to
"RESUME (ACCEL)" position and hold it.
2. Accelerate to desired speed and
release the control switch. Whilethe control switch is held, the ve- hicle will gradually gain speed. B660F01GK-AAT To Reset at a Slower Speed
1. Push the control switch downward
to "SET (COAST)" and hold it. The "SET" indicator light in the instru-ment cluster will illuminate. The ve- hicle will decelerate.
2. When the desired speed is obtained, release the control switch. The"SET" indicator light in the instru- ment cluster will turn off. While thecontrol switch is pushed, the vehicle speed will gradually decrease. OGK016661

o Keep the main switch off when not using the cruise control.
o Use the cruise control system only when traveling on open high- ways in good weather.
o Do not use the cruise control when it may not be safe to keepthe car at a constant speed, for instance, driving in heavy or vary-ing traffic, or on slippery (rainy, icy or snow-covered) or winding roads or over 6% up-hill or down-hill roads.
o Pay particular attention to the
driving conditions whenever us-ing the cruise control system.
o During cruise-control driving
with a manual transaxle vehicle,do not shift into neutral without depressing the clutch pedal, or the engine will be overrevved. Ifthis happens, depress the clutch pedal or release the main switch.
