B040G02GK-GAT Central Door Lock The central door locking is operated by pushing the driver's door lock switch toward the front or rear of the vehicle.If the passenger door is open when the switch is pushed, the door will remain locked when closed. OGK046003
B040D01S-AAT Locking From the Inside To lock the doors from the inside, simply close the door and push the lock switch to the "LOCK" position.When this is done, neither the outside nor the inside door handle can be used. B040C01O-AAT Locking From the Outside The doors can be locked without a key. To lock the doors, first push the inside lock switch to the "LOCK" position sothat the red mark on the switch is not visible, then close the door. NOTE:
o If your vehicle is equipped with
central door locking system, the door will not lock if the key is leftin the ignition switch when the front doors are closed.
o When locking the door this way,
be careful not to lock the doorwith the ignition key left in the vehicle. OGK046003
o To protect against theft, always
remove the ignition key, close allwindows, and lock all doors when leaving your vehicle unattended.

B050A03GK-AAT The power windows operate only when the ignition key is in the "ON" position. The main switches are located on thedriver's arm rest and control the front windows on the respective sides of the vehicle. The windows may be openedby depressing the front portion of the switch. To stop at the desired opening, release the switch. The window may beclosed by pulling the front portion of the
switch. To open the window on the driver's side, press the switch(1) half-way down. The window moves as long as the switch is operated. To fully open the driver's window automatically, pressthe switch fully down. In automatic operation, the window will fully open even if you let go of the switch. HGK2015

2. Remove the old battery from the
case and note the polarity. Make sure the polarity of the new battery is the same (+side facing up), then insert it in the transmitter.
3. Installation is the reverse order of disassembly. Battery

NOTE: Install a new battery within 30 sec- onds after removing the old one. If installing a new battery takes morethan 30 seconds, take the following steps.
1) Turn the ignition key to the "ACC"position.
2) Make sure that the turn signal lights blink once by pushing the "LOCK" or "UNLOCK" button on the transmitter.

To stop at the desired opening, pull up and release the switch. In order toprevent operation of the passenger front window by the passenger, a window lock switch (2) is provided on the armrest of the driver's door. To disable the passenger's power window, push the window lock switch. To revert to normaloperation, push in on the window lock switch again.

1) Be careful that someone's head, hands and body are not trapped by a closing window.
2) Never try to operate the main switch on the driver's door and theindividual door window switch inopposing directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened orclosed.

car. Always remove the ignitionkey for their safety.
NOTE: The power windows can be operated for 30 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ACC" or "LOCK"positions, or removed from the igni- tion switch. If the front doors are opened during this 30 second pe-riod, the power windows can no longer be operated without the igni- tion key turned to the "ON" position.

The system automatically turns off the small light when the driver re-moves the ignition key and opens the driver- side door.
o With this feature, the parklight will be
turned off automatically if the driverparks on the side of road at night.
If necessary, to keep the lights on whenthe ignition key is removed, perform the following :
1) Open the driver-side door.
2) Turn the parklights OFF and ON again using the light switch on the steering column.
B340F01A-GAT Daytime Running Lights (If Installed) Your Hyundai is equipped with daytime running lights. The daytime running lightsare used to improve visibility for oncom- ing traffic. Your vehicle daytime running lights are designed to remain on continu-ously when the engine is operating even though the headlight switch is in the "OFF" position. However, the daytimerunning lights will be off while the parking brake is applied. B340D01A-AAT High-beam Switch To turn on the headlight high beams, push the lever forward (away fromyou). The high beam indicator light will come on at the same time. For low beams, pull the lever back toward you. B340G01LZ-GAT Auto Light (If installed) To operate the automatic light feature, turn the barrel on the end of the multi-function switch. If you set the multi- function switch to "AUTO", the tail lights and headlights will be turnedautomatically on or off according to external illumination.

They will light when the head-light switch is in the second position and the ignition key is in the "ON" position. They will come on when the headlight switch is in the second posi-tion and the key is in the "ON" position.
Do not operate the washer continu-ously for more than 15 seconds orwhen the fluid reservoir is empty; this could damage the system. Do not op- erate the wiper when the window isdry; this can result in scratching as well as premature wiper blade wear. B370A01A-AAT The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessaryto stop the car in a hazardous situa- tion. When you must make such an emergency stop, always pull off theroad as far as possible. The hazard warning lights are turned on by pushing in the hazard switch.This causes all turn signal lights to blink. The hazard warning lights will operate even though the key is not inthe ignition. To turn the hazard warning lights off, push the switch a second time.

REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER SWITCH
B380A02A-AAT The rear window defroster and heated outside rearview mirrors are turned on by pushing in the switch. To turn the defroster off, push the switch a secondtime. The rear window defroster auto- matically turns itself off after about 20 minutes. To restart the defroster cycle,push in the switch again after it has turned itself off. CAUTION:
Do not clean the inner side of the rear window glass with an abrasive type of glass cleaner or use a scraper to remove foreign deposits fromthe inner surface of the glass as this may cause damage to the de- froster elements. NOTE: The engine must be running for the rear window defroster to operate.
