NOTE: You can get the limp home pass- word when the vehicle is first deliv- ered to you. If you do not have thepassword, consult your authorized Hyundai dealer.
1. To set the password you may turn
the ignition key "ON" and then turn it "OFF" according to the digit num-bers, then the immobilizer indicator will blink along with the operation of the ignition key. For example, turnthe ignition key once for digit number "1", and twice for "2", and so on. However, for the digit number "0",you must turn the ignition key for 10 times.
2. Wait for 3~10 seconds.
3. You may set the remaining number of digits by following the same proce-dures 1 and 2.
4. If all of four digits have been tried successfully, turn the ignition key"ON" and check that the immobilizerindicator illuminates. From this time, you have to start your engine within 30 seconds. If you start your engineafter 30 seconds, your engine will not start.
B880D02A-GAT Limp Home Procedures In case the immobilizer warning indica- tor blinks for five seconds when the ignition key is turned to "ON" position, this indicates that the immobilizer sys-tem is out of order. And you cannot start the engine without the limp home proce- dures with ignition key.The following procedure is how to start the engine with the function of the limp home. The key number should be recordedand kept in a safe place in case theneed to order further keys arises. New keys are available from any Hyundai dealer by quoting the relevant key num-ber. In the interest of security, the number tag attached to the keys which bearsthe key number should be removed from the key string after you receive your new vehicle. In addition, key num-bers cannot be provided by Hyundai for security reasons. If you need additional keys or if youshould lose your keys, your authorized Hyundai dealer can make new keys if you can supply the key number.

B040D01S-GAT Locking From the Inside To lock the doors from the inside, sim- ply close the door and push the lock switch to the "LOCK" position. Whenthis is done, neither the outside nor the inside door handle can be used.B040E04A-AAT Child-protector Rear Door Lock (If Installed) Your Hyundai is equipped with a "child- protector" rear door lock assembly.When the lock mechanism is engaged, the rear door cannot be opened from the inside. Its use is recommended when-ever there are small children in the rear seat.
NOTE: When the door is locked, the red mark on the switch is not visible.
B040C01MC-AAT Locking From the Outside The doors can be locked without a key. To lock the doors, first push the inside lock switch to the "LOCK" position sothat the red mark on the switch is not visible, then close the door. NOTE:
o If your vehicle is equipped with
central door locking system, the door will not lock if the key is leftin the ignition switch when the front doors are closed.
o When locking the door this way, be careful not to lock the door withthe ignition key left in the vehicle.

B070C01MC-GAT Alarm Stage The alarm will be activated if any of the following occurs while the car is parkedand the system is armed.
1) Any door, tail gate (3 Door) included,is opened without using the trans- mitter.
2) The trunk lid (4 Door) is opened without using the key.
3) The engine hood is opened. The alarming horn will sound and the turn signal lights will blink continuously for 27 seconds (E.C, Mideast only/Except E.C : This happens 3 times). To turn off the system, unlock the door with the transmitter.
NOTE:
1) If any door, trunk lid (4 Door)/tail gate (3 Door) or engine hood re- mains open, the system will notbe armed. If this happens, rearm the system as previously described.
2) Once the system is armed, only the trunk lid (4 Door) may be un-locked using the ignition key with-out disarming the system.

Park the car and stop the engine. Arm the system as described in the follow- ing paragraph.
1) Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.
2) Make sure that the engine hood and trunk lid (4 Door)/tail gate (3 Door) are closed and latched.
3) Lock the doors using the transmitter of the keyless entry system.
After completion of the steps above, the turn signal lights will blink once to indicate that the system is armed. CAUTION:
Do not arm the system until all pas-sengers have left the car. If the sys- tem is armed while a passenger(s)remains in the car, the alarm may be activated when the remaining passenger(s) leaves the car.

Avoid trying to start the engine while the system is armed.

B070D01MC-GAT Disarmed Stage
The system will be disarmed when the driver's or passenger's door is unlocked by depressing the button on the trans- mitter after the system was armed. After completion of the step above, the turn signal lights will blink twice toindicate that the system is disarmed. If any door, trunk lid(4 Door)/tail gate(3 Door) or engine hood is not opened within 30 seconds, the system will be rearmed. B070D02AMC
NOTE: When the system is disarmed with the interior light switched to "DOOR", the interior light will illuminate for 30seconds.
B070F02A-GAT Keyless Entry System (If Installed) Locking doors
1. Close all doors.
2. Push the button on the transmitter.
3. At the same time all doors lock, the
turn signal lights will blink once toindicate that the system is armed.
Unlocking doors 1. Push the button on the transmitter once more after all doors were locked.
2. At the same time all doors unlock,
the turn signal lights will blink twice to indicate that the system is dis- armed.
CAUTION:
Only the transmitter can disarm the armed stage. If the transmitter does not disarm the system, it is neces- sary to take the following steps;
1. Unlock the door with the key, which will cause the alarm to be acti- vated.
2. Insert the key in the ignition key
cylinder and turn the ignition keyto "ON" position.
3. Wait for 30 seconds. After completing the steps above, the system will be disarmed.

B060A01MC-GAT POWER WINDOWS (If Installed)
The power windows operate when the ignition key is in the "ON" position. The main switches are located on the driver's
armrest and control the front (4/3 Door)
and rear windows (4Door) on both sides of
the vehicle. The windows may be openedby depressing the appropriate window switch and closed by pulling up the switch. To open the window on the driver's side,press the switch(1) halfway down. The window moves as long as the switch is operated. To fully open the driver's win-dow automatically, press the switch fully down. In automatic operation, the window will fully open even if you let go of theswitch. To stop at the desired opening, pull up and release the switch.
4 Door 3 Door
In order to prevent operation of the passenger front (4/3 Door) and rear windows (4Door), a window lockswitch(2) is provided on the armrest of
the driver's door. To disable the power windows, press the window lock switch.To revert to normal operation, press the window lock switch a second time. NOTE: The power windows can be operated for 30 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ACC" or "LOCK"positions, or removed from the igni- tion switch. If the front doors are opened during this 30 second pe-riod, the power windows can no longer be operated without the igni- tion key turned to the "ON" position. WARNING:
1) Be careful that someone's head, hands and body are not trappedby a closing window.
2) Never try to operate the main
switch on the driver's door andthe individual door window switch in opposing directions at the same time. If this is done, the windowwill stop and cannot be opened or closed.
3) Do not leave children alone in the car. Always remove the ignitionkey for their safety.

B100A01Y-AAT SEAT WARMER (If Installed) The seat warmer is provided to warm the front seats during cold weather. With the ignition key in the "ON" posi- tion, push either of the switches towarm the driver's seat or the passenger's seat. During mild weather or under conditionsthat the operation of the seat warmer is not needed, keep the switches in the "OFF" position.

To raise or lower the front part of the seat cushion, turn the front knob for- ward or rearward. To raise or lower the rear part of the seat cushion, turn therear knob forward or rearward.o Do not adjust the headrest hejght while the vehicle is in motion.

B180A01MC-GAT SEAT BELTS 3-Point System with Emergency Locking Retrac-torTo Fasten Your Belt To fasten your seat belt, pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tab into the buckle. There will be an audible "click" when the tab locks into thebuckle. The seat belt automatically adjusts to the proper length only after the lap beltis adjusted manually so that it fits snugly around your hips. If you lean forward in a slow, easy motion, the beltwill extend and let you move around. If there is a sudden stop or impact, how- ever, the belt will lock into position. It
B180A01NF will also lock if you try to lean forward too quickly. Check to make sure thatthe belt is properly locked and that the belt is not twisted. NOTE: If the seat belt is not fastened when the ignition key is turned from the "OFF" position to the "ON" position, the seat belt warning will activate toremind the driver to fasten the seat belt as follows. Seat Belt Warning Light

The seat belt warning light blinks for about 6 seconds when the ignition key is turned from the "OFF" position to the "ON".
*1) When the ignition key is turned from "OFF" position to "ON" within 1 minute.
*2) The switch returns to "ON" when you let go of the key.
*3) If the vehicle speed exceeds 9km/
h, the seat belt chime also sounds for about 1~2 minutes. If the vehicle speed is below 9km/h, 1 minute later the seat belt chimealso sounds for about 1~2 minutes.
NOTE: If the driver's seat belt is operated in this order "unbuckled

unbuckled" within 9 seconds after the seat belt is buckled, the seat belt warning light and chime will notactivate.

illuminates while the vehicle is being driven, please have an au- thorized Hyundai dealer inspectthe pre-tensioner seat belt or SRS airbag system as soon as pos- sible.
WARNING:
o Pre-tensioners are designed to operate only one time. After acti- vation, pre-tensioner seat belts must be replaced. All seat belts, of any type, should always be re-placed after they have been worn during a collision.
o The pre-tensioner seat belt assem- bly mechanisms become hot dur-ing activation. Do not touch the pre-tensioner seat belt assembliesfor several minutes after they have been activated.
o Do not attempt to inspect or re- place the pre-tensioner seat beltsyourself. This must be done by an authorized Hyundai dealer. o Do not strike the pre-tensioner seat
belt assemblies.
o Do not attempt to service or repair
the pre-tensioner seat belt system in any manner.
o Improper handling of the pre-
tensioner seat belt assemblies, andfailure to heed the warnings to not strike, modify, inspect, replace,service or repair the pre-tensioner seat belt assemblies may lead to improper operation or inadvertentactivation and serious injury.
o Always wear seat belts when driv-
ing or riding in a motor vehicle.
o Although it is harmless, the fine
dust may cause skin irritation andshould not be breathed for pro- longed periods. Wash your hands and face thoroughly after an acci-dent in which the pre-tensioner seat belts were activated.! CAUTION:
o Because the sensor that activates the SRS airbag is connected with pre-tensioner seat belt, the SRS airbag warning light on the instrument panel will illuminatefor approximately 6 seconds after the ignition key has been turned to the "ON" position, and then itshould turn off.
o If pre-tensioner seat belt is not
working properly, this warninglight will illuminate even if there is no malfunction of the SRS airbag. If the SRS airbag warning lightdoes not illuminate when the igni- tion key is turned to "ON", or if it blinks for a second and remainsilluminated after illuminating for approximately 6 seconds, or if it
