B100A01Y-AAT SEAT WARMER (If Installed) The seat warmer is provided to warm the front seats during cold weather. With the ignition key in the "ON" posi- tion, push either of the switches towarm the driver's seat or the passenger's seat. During mild weather or under conditionsthat the operation of the seat warmer is not needed, keep the switches in the "OFF" position.

5. Open the hood.
6. Draw the vertical line (through the
center of each headlight beam pat-tern) and the horizontal line (throughthe center of each headlight beam pattern) on the aiming screen. And then, draw a horizontal parallel line at 30 mm (1.18 in.) under the horizontal line.
7. Adjust each cut-off line of the low beam to the parallel line with a phillipsscrewdriver - VERTICAL AIMING.

beam to each vertical line with aphillips screwdriver - HORIZONTAL AIMING. G290A01A

If the vehicle has had front body repair and the headlight assembly has beenreplaced, an headlight aiming should be checked using an aiming screen as shown in the illustration. Turn on theheadlight switch. (Low Beam Position)
1. Adjust headlights so that main axisof light is parallel to center line of the body and is aligned with point "P" shown in the illustration.
2. Dotted lines in the illustration show the center of headlights.
G290B03A-GAT Adjustment After Headlight As- sembly Replacement
G290A03A-GAT Before performing aiming adjustment, make sure of the following.
1. Keep all tires inflated to the correct
pressure.
2. Place the vehicle on level ground
and press the front bumper and rear bumper down several times. Place the vehicle at a distance of 3,000 mm (118 in.) from the test wall.
3. See that the vehicle is unloaded (except for full levels of coolant,engine oil and fuel, and spare tire,jack, and tools). Have the driver or equivalent weight placed in driver's seat.
4. Clean the head lights lenses and turn on the headlight (low beam). G290B01B

In order to prevent operation of the passenger front and rear windows, a window lock switch is provided on thearmrest of the driver's door. To disable the power windows, press the window lock switch.To revert to normal operation, press the window lock switch a second time. Auto-Down Window (Driver's Side)(Not all models) The Auto-Down window is moved to its fully open position by pushing the switch. To stop at the desired positionpush the switch again. HLC2014-D

B080A01FC-EAT SEAT ADJUSTMENT
WARNING:
Front seat adjustments must not be undertaken whilst the vehicle is inmotion. Loss of control of the ve- hicle may result if seat adjustments are made whilst the vehicle is inmotion.
WARNING:
1) Be careful that someone's head, hands and body are not trapped by a closing window.
2) Never try to operate the main switch on the driver's door andthe individual door window switch in opposing directions at the sametime. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened or closed.
3) Do not leave children alone in the car. Always remove the ignitionkey for their safety.

B080B02FC-EAT FRONT SEATS Seat Rake Adjustment

The front seat rake adjustment is per- formed by raising the lever at the front of the seat base and sliding the seat tothe desired position. At this position the lever should be released and the seat rocked to and fro to ensure that themechanism has locked. SB070C1-E Seat Recline Adjustment The front seat back recline angle may be adjusted by leaning forward slightlyand raising the recline adjustment lever at the side of the seat. When the seatback is at the desired angle, thelever should be released. Ensure that the seatback is locked before driving the vehicle.

WARNING:
To ensure the seat is locked se-curely, attempt to move the seat for- ward or rearward without using the lever.
!WARNING:
To minimize risk of severe injury in the event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver and passenger seatbacks should always be in anupright position while the vehicle is in motion. The protection provided by the seat belts and airbags in afrontal collision may be reduced sig- nificantly when the seatbacks are reclined. There is greater risk thatthe driver and passenger will slide under the seat belt which may result in serious injury if a crash occurswhen the seatbacks are reclined. The seat belt cannot provide full protec- tion to an occupant if the seatback isreclined.

SB070D2-E Head Restraint Adjustment To raise the head restraint, pull it up. To lower it, push it down whilst pressingthe lock knob. For maximum effective- ness in the event of an accident, the restraint must be adjusted so that therestraint is approximately at the level of the seat occupant's ears. The restraint must never be so adjusted that it iscentred about the level of the seat occupant's neck. WARNING:
o For maximum effectiveness in case of an accident, the head restraint should be adjusted so the top ofthe head restraint is at the same height as the top of the occupant's ears. The use of a cushion thatholds the body away from the seatback is not recommended.
o Do not operate the vehicle with the head restraint removed as severeinjury to an occupant may occur in the event of an accident. Headrestraint may provide protection against severe neck injuries when properly adjusted.

The driver's and front passenger's seatback should be tilted to enter the rear seat.By pulling up on the recliner control lever (1) at the outside of the driver's and front passenger's seat, the seatbackwill tilt forward and the seat will auto- matically slide forward. Rear seat occupants can tilt the frontpassenger seatback by depressing the foot lever (2) as shown in the drawing. (Front passenger's seat only)

28HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT

1. Loosen the drain plug at the bottom
of the fuel filter.
2. Tighten the drain plug when water no longer comes out.
3. Check to be sure that the warning light illuminates when the ignition key is turned to "ON", and that it goes off when the engine is started.If in doubt, consult your nearest au- thorized HYUNDAI dealer.
NOTE: It is recommended that water accu- mulated in the fuel filter should be removed by an authorized Hyundaidealer. WARNING:
Be sure to carefully wipe away any water drained out in this manner, because the fuel mixed in the watermight be ignited and result in a fire. G290A03A-EAT Before performing aiming adjustment, make sure of the following.
