The outside temperature value is updated
every 1 second.
The displayed temperature ranges from
−30 C ( −22 F) up to 50 C (122 F).
If an abnormality exists in the connection
of the outside air temperature sensor,
“ −−”, “F” or “E” will appear on the display.
If “ −−”, “F” or “E” appears on the display,
contact your Toyota dealer.
There may be a case that “−−”, “F” or “E”
appears momentarily when the ignition
switch is quickly set to ON. It is normal
if it goes out soon.1. Driving range (“FUEL RANGE”)
The distance the vehicle can travel with
the remaining fuel is calculated and
displayed based on the quantity of re-
maining fuel and past fuel consumption.
The displayed value is updated every 10
seconds.
Every time you refuel the vehicle, the
driving range calculation is automatically
reset. The actual driving range varies with driv-
ing habits and road conditions. If fuel con-
sumption is good, the driving range will be
longer than indicated. If fuel consumption
is poor, the driving range will be shorter
than indicated.
2. Elapsed time (“TRIP TIME”)
The elapsed time after the engine starts
is displayed.
When the engine is started, driving time
is counted from 0:00. Up to 99:59 (99
hours, 59 minutes) can be displayed.
When the driving time exceeds 99:59, the
counter returns to 0:00.
The calculation is reset when the ignition
switch is turned off. 3. Average fuel consumption after re- fueling
(“AVERAGE”)
Average fuel consumption after refuel-
ing is calculated and displayed based
on total driving distance and total fuel
consumption with the engine running.
The displayed value is updated every 10
seconds.
Every time you refuel the vehicle, the av-
erage fuel consumption after refueling cal-
culation is automatically reset.

To reset the hour: Push the “H” button.
To reset the minutes: Push the “M” button.
If quick adjustment to a full hour is de-
sired, push the “:00” button.
For example, if the “:00” button is de-
pressed when the time is between
1:01—1:29, the time will change to 1:00.
If the time is between 1:30—1:59, the
time will change to 2:00.
The ignition switch must be set at ON.
If the electrical power source has been
disconnected from the clock, the time dis-
play will automatically be set to 1:00 (one
o’clock).When the instrument panel lights are
turned on, the brightness of the time in-
dication may be reduced.The direction is indicated on the inside
rear view mirror.
If the ignition switch was turned off with
the system on, the system will automati-
cally turn back on when the ignition switch
is turned on.
Push the “
” switch to turn the com-
pass system on and off.
