FM stations Automatic Search tuning
Select the FM1 or FM2 band. The screen will display for instance:
"FM 87.50".
To start automatic search, press either or keys.
Search will stop at the next station.
Automatic search of FM bands operates at two sensitivity levels. If
during its first search on the tuning band for powerful field stations
(localstations) no station is found, the set will carry out a second
search for less powerful field stations.
MMaannuuaall ffrreeqquueennccyy ttuunniinngg
1. Select the FM1 or FM2 band.
2. Hold the or key down until you hear the signal and the
"MAN" indication and the current frequency are displayed on
the screen.
3. Tune into the frequency of your choice by pressing the or
keys.
If you press these keys briefly the tuning moves step by step
(50 KHz steps) and if you hold them pressed down the
frequencies change fast.
AAlltteerrnnaattiivvee FFrreeqquueennccyy sseelleeccttiioonn ((AAFF))
RDS FM radio stations can transmit their signal at different
frequencies. Your radio automatically chooses the strongest signalfor the selected station. If you are driving through an area with bad
coverage, each automatic re tune will result in short breaks in the
audio. In order to avoid this, turn the AF function off.
TTuurrnniinngg AAFF ffuunnccttiioonn oonn//ooffff
Keep the DX/MAN key pressed until the confirmation signal
sounds. The AF function will be alternatively enabled or disabled.
The AF function status is also stored in the memory when a radio
station is stored and will be enabled again when a preset station is
selected.

Tune into RDS programmes (LEARN function)
Select the RDS1 or RDS2 band.
Press the or keys until you hear the signal and "LEARN" is
displayed on screen.
Briefly press the or key to start automatic search by
tuning power.

Select the RDS1 or RDS2 band.
Press the or keys until you hear the signal and "SEARCH"
isdisplayed on screen.
Briefly press the or key to start automatic search by order
of frequency. Search will stop at the next station.

step (1KHzsteps) and if you hold them pressed frequencies
move fast.

Select the MW, LW1), FM 1 or 2, or RDS 1 or 2 tuning range.
•Tuning into a station:
When the frequency tuned for a particular range, for instance: 1, is
already registered in a pre tuning key, the relevant number for that
pre tune key will be displayed on the screen.
•Storing a pre tuned station in memory:
Press the key where you wish to register that station until you hear
the confirmation signal.
•Callup of a memorized programme:
Brieflypress the relevant pre tune key.
Memory contents is not lost even if the set is removed from the
mains.
