1. Remove the cover.
2. Turn the socket and bulb assemblycounterclockwise and remove it.
3. Disconnect the bulb from the socket.
4. Install the new bulb in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE
To replace the bulb, contact an
Authorized Mazda Dealer.
High-mount brake light
4 Door
1. Pull the center of each plastic retainer
and remove the retainers and the trunk
rear trim.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the socket.
3. Turn the socket and bulb assembly counterclockwise and remove it.
4. Disconnect the bulb from the socket.
5. Install the new bulb in the reverse order of removal.

2. Disconnect the electrical connectorfrom the socket.
3. Turn the socket and bulb assembly counterclockwise and remove it.
4. Disconnect the bulb from the socket.
5. Install the new bulb in the reverse order of removal.

License plate lights
1. Wrap a flathead screwdriver with a softcloth to prevent damage to the lens and
remove the lens by carefully prying on
the edge of the lens with a flathead
screwdriver.
2. Disconnect the bulb by pulling it out.

3. Install the new bulb in the reverse order of removal.

Overhead light/Map lights (Front)í
1. Wrap a flathead screwdriver with a soft
cloth to prevent damage to the trim and
gently insert it in the overhead light as
shown in the figure, and then remove
the overhead light unit.

1. Press both sides of the lens cap toremove it.
2. Disconnect the bulb by pulling it out.
3. Install the new bulb in the reverse order of removal.
Luggage compartment light (5 Door)
1. Insert your finger as shown in thefigure and remove the unit.
2. Wrap a small flathead screwdriver witha soft cloth to prevent damage to the
lens and remove the lens by carefully
prying on the edge of the lens with the
flathead screwdriver.
