B350B01O-GAT Windshield Washer Operation To use the windshield washer, pull the wiper/washer lever toward the steer- ing wheel. When the washer lever is operated, the wipers automaticallymake two passes across the wind- shield. The washer continues to oper- ate until the lever is released. B350B01FCNOTE:

than 15 seconds at a time or when the fluid reser- voir is empty.
o In icy or freezing weather, be sure the wiper blades are notfrozen to the glass prior to oper-ating the wipers.
o In areas where water freezes in

WINDSHIELD WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH
B350A01A-AAT The windshield wiper switch has three positions:
1. Intermittent wiper operation
2. Low-speed operation
3. High-speed operation NOTE: To prevent damage to the wiper system, do not attempt to wipe awayheavy accumulations of snow or ice. Accumulated snow and ice should be removed manually. B670C02FC-GAT Air Intake Control With the "Fresh" mode selected, air enters the vehicle from the outside andis heated or cooled according to the function selected. With the "Recirculation" mode selected, air from within the passenger compart- ment will be drawn through the heatingsystem and heated or cooled according to the function selected. NOTE:
o It should be noted that prolonged
operation of the heating in "Recir- culation" mode will increase to fogging of the windshield and sidewindows and the air within the passenger compartment will be- come stale. In addition, prolongeduse of the air conditioning with the "Recirculation" mode selected may result in the air within thepassenger compartment becom- ing excessively dry.
o When the ignition switch is turned "ON" the air intake control willchange to ( ) mode (regardless of switch position). This is normaloperation.
This is used to select fresh outside airor recirculating inside air. To change the air intake control mode, (Fresh mode, Recirculation mode) pushthe control button. FRESH MODE

For normal heating operation, set the air intake control to the "Fresh" position and the air flow control to "Floor". For faster heating, the air intake control should be in the "Recirculation" posi-tion. If the windows fog up, move the air flow control to the "Def" (defroster) position. (The A/C will turn on automatically and "Fresh" mode will be activated.) For maximum heat, move the tempera- ture control to "Warm".

The radio unit may be operated when the ignition key is in the "ACC" or "ON"position. Rotate the knob clockwise to switch the radio unit on and to increase the volume.The LCD shows the radio frequency in the radio mode. Turn the knob counter- clockwise to reduce the volume and toswitch the radio unit off. BAL (Balance Control) Knob Pull and turn the control knob clockwise to emphasize right speaker sound (left speaker sound will be attenuated). When the control knob is turned counterclock-wise, left speaker sound will be empha- sized (right speaker soundwill be at- tenuated).After adjusting the balance, push the knob again to use the other function. 4. Turn the control knob counterclockwiseto emphasize front speaker sound (rear speaker sound will be attenuated). HOW TO PRESET STATIONS Six AM and twelve FM stations may be programmed into the memory of theradio. Then, by simply pressing the band select button and/or one of the six station select buttons, you may recallany of these stations instantly. To pro- gram the stations, follow these steps:
o Press band selector to set the band
for AM, FM1 or FM2.
o Select the desired station to be stored by seek or manual tuning.
o Determine the preset station select
button you wish to use to access that station.
o Press the station select button for
more than two seconds. A selectbutton indicator will show in the dis- play indicating which select button you have depressed. The frequencydisplay will flash after it has been stored into the memory with beep sound. You should then release thebutton, and proceed to program the next desired station. A total of 18 stations can be programmed by se-lecting one AM and two FM station per button. 8. Best Station Memory Button
(BSM) (If installed)
When the BSM button is pressed for two seconds or longer, the six channelsfrom the highest field intensity are se- lected next and stored in memory. The stations selected are stored in the se-quence frequency from the first preset key. SCAN Button (If installed) When the scan button is pressed, the frequency will increase and the receiv- able stations will be tuned in one afteranother, receiving each station for 5 seconds. To stop scanning, press the scan button again.
o When completed, any preset station
may be recalled by selecting AM,FM1 or FM2 band and the appropri- ate station button.
6. BAND Selector Pressing the button changes the AM, FM1 and FM2 bands. The mode selected is shown on the display.
7. EQUALIZER Button Press the EQ button to select the CLASSIC, JAZZ, ROCK and DEFEAT MODE for the desired tone quality. Each press of the button changes thedisplay as follows;
