Scan Function– In radio mode, press
to hear a sampling of all listenable
stations. In CD mode, press to hear abrief sampling of all selections on the
current CD.
CD/AUX – Press to select CD/AUX modes.
No CD will display if there is not a CD
present in the audio system. If a disc is
loaded, there will be a number (1 6)
inside the circle on the display.
Loading CD– Press LOAD to open the
CD door, then load a CD into the player.
Press LOAD and then a preset number to
select a slot. Press and hold LOAD toactivate autoload.
Volume/Power Control – Push the
control to turn the audio system on or
off. Turn the control to raise or lowervolume. The speed sensitive volume
feature automatically adjusts radio
volume in accordance with vehicle speed
to compensate for road and wind noise.
To engage, press and hold the volume
control for five seconds (with the radio
on), then simultaneously press SEL tochoose the compensation level.
AM/FM Select – In radio mode, press
AM/FM to select AM or FM frequency
bands. In CD mode, press AM/FM to stop
play and begin radio play.
Satellite – Your Audiophile radio comes
equipped with satellite ready capability.
The kit to enable satellite reception is
available through your Ford dealer.
Detailed satellite instructions are included
with the dealer installed kit.
Disc/Tune CAT– In radio mode, press to
move to the next frequency up or down
the band. In CD mode, press to select a
disc in the CD player. CAT is only availablewhen equipped with satellite radio. The
kit to enable satellite reception is available
through your Ford dealer. Detailed
satellite instructions are included with the
dealer installed kit.
Digital Signal Processing– Press DSP and
then SEL to choose the desired signal
mode (DSP OFF, NEWS, JAZZ CLUB, HALL,
CHURCH, STADIUM).
Seek Function– In radio mode, press to
move to the next listenable station up or
down the band. In CD mode, press to
select the next/previous track on the
current disc.
Setting the Clock– Press MENU until
SELECT HOUR or SELECT MINUTE is
displayed. Press SEL to set the time. PressMENU again to disengage the clock mode.
Setting Memory Preset Stations– Select
AM, FM1, or FM2 band, then select a
station. Next, press and hold a numbered
control until the sound returns.

* CDs with adhesive labels and irregularly shaped CDs may get stuck in the CD player. Homemade
CDs should be identified with permanent felt tip marker rather than adhesive labels.
Fuel Tank Capacity– Your vehicle’s fuel tank can accommodate 28 gallons (106L) of
gasoline. Your vehicle is designed to use "Regular" unleaded gasoline with a pump (R+M)/2
octane rating of 87 for optimum performance. The use of gasoline with lower octane
ratings may degrade performance.
Tire Pressure– Your tire pressure is properly set at the dealership according to the
recommended specifications found on the Certification Label located on the front door
latch pillar on the driver’s side. Please check your tire pressure during routine maintenance
and seasonal changes and when the Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning indicator (ifequipped)is illuminated.
Warning:Improperly inflated tires can affect vehicle handling
and can fail suddenly, possibly resulting in loss of vehicle control. See “Additional Features”
on reverse side for more information.
Fuses– If electrical components in the vehicle are not working, a fuse may have blown. For
more information about changing a fuse, please consult your Owner’s Guide.
Fuel Pump Shut Off Switch – After a collision, if the engine cranks but does not start, the
fuel pump shut off switch may have to be reset. The switch is located in the left rear
quarter trim panel, near the liftgate. For complete details on resetting the switch, please
consult your Owner’s Guide.
Changing the Tires– If you get a flat tire while driving, do not apply the brake heavily.
Instead, gradually decrease your speed. Hold the steering wheel firmly and slowly move to
a safe place on the side of the road. Your vehicle is equipped with a spare tire that may be
used as a spare or a regular tire.

Roadside Emergencies– To fully assist you if you should have a vehicle concern, Ford Motor
Company offers a complimentary roadside assistance program. This program is separate
from the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days
a week for the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period (U.S.) or Basic Warranty period
(Canada) of three years or 36,000 miles (60,000 km). Roadside assistance will cover:

AdvanceTracTM with RSC(if equipped)
The AdvanceTrac™ with Roll
Stability Control (RSC) system
provides stability enhancement
features for certain driving
situations when driver assistance
is needed. It helps your vehicle
maintain traction when driving on slippery
and/or hilly road surfaces. If your vehicle
should become stuck, try switching the
system off by pressing the button on thecenter console.
Keyless Entry System
With this control you can lock or unlock
all doors without using a key. First, enter
your five digit program code and then
press the corresponding quick key:
Unlock all doors = 3 4
Lock all doors = 7 8 and 9 0 simultaneously
Heated and Cooled Seats(if equipped)
The Driver and Passenger Heated and
Cooled Seat buttons are located on the
Climate Control. Press the heated seatbutton once for full heat, twice for
medium heat and three times for low
heat. Pressing a fourth time will turn off
this feature.
Note:Seats will turn off
automatically after 15 minutes of use.
Press the cooled seat button once for full
cool, twice for medium cool and a third
time for low cool. Pressing a fourth time
will turn off this feature.
Note:Seats will
automatically turn off after 30 minutes of use.
Message Center (if equipped)
The message center
displays important
vehicle information
through a constant monitor of vehicle systems(with the ignition in the ON position). Thesystem will notify you of potential vehicle
problems with a display of system warnings
followed by a long indicator chime. You may
select display features on the message center
by pressing the Info or Setup buttons. The
Reset button may be used to reset selectfunctions in the Info and Setup menus.

Reverse Sensing System (RSS) (if equipped)
This sonar and radar system sounds a tone to
warn the driver if an obstacle is detected
within approximately 20 feet (6m) behind the
rear bumper while the vehicle moves in
reverse at speeds less than 6 mph (10 km/h).RSS defaults to ON, but can be disabled using the message center functions when the ignition is ON, and the gearshift is in R (Reverse).
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)(if equipped)
Using radio frequency pressure sensors, this
system monitors tire pressure on all road tires
and provides the driver with a yellow warninglight when air needs to be added. Message
center equipped vehicles provide additional
warning messages.
The TPMS warning light
will reset itself (turn off) after the tires are set to specification and the vehicle is eitherparked up to 1 hour or by driving the vehicleabove 20 mph (30 km/h) for 10 seconds.
