INTRODUCTIONThis is intended as a guide to the service requirements
of your vehicle.
It contains all necessary instructions concerning
service intervals and oper ations which have to be
carried out.
Scope and frequency of maintenance work primarily
depend on the vehicle's operating conditions.
In the interest of maintaining the vehicle's operating
safety, the specified work should be performed
regularly and in good time.
Our vehicles are subject to ongoing development.
Technical progress may also affect the scope of service
work performed.
"Daily vehicle checks" before starting a journey are the
responsibility of the driver.
WARRANTYThe Sprinter Dealer network is at your disposal for
maintenance work. Each of these workshops has the
equipment and tools, the specially trained, skilled and
experienced personnel and receives regular technical
instruction from DaimlerChrysler Corporation to
ensure that your vehicle is inspected and maintained
thoroughly and in accordance with the latest
procedures.
Please follow the instructions given in this Owner’s
Manual and ensure that they are observed, even if you
hand the vehicle over to a third party for use or care. By
not observing these instructions you may void your
warranty rights.
If the specified oil and maintenance services are not
carried out regularly or at the time intervals specified,
a decision as to the validity of a warranty claim can
only be made after Daimle rChrysler Corporation has
investigated your claim.

274 IF YOU NEED CONSUMER ASSISTANCEService Contract
You may have purchased a service contract for your
vehicle to help protect you from the high cost of
unexpected repairs after your manufacturer’s new
vehicle limited warranty expires. The manufacturer
stands behind only the manufacturer’s Service
Contracts. If you purchased a manufacturer’s Service
Contract, you will receive Plan Provisions and an
Owner Identification Card in the mail within three
weeks of your vehicle delivery date. If you have any
questions about your service contract, call the
manufacturer’s Service Contract National Customer
Hotline at 1-800-521-9922.
The manufacturer will not stand behind any service
contract that is not the manufacturer’s Service
Contract. It is not responsible for any service contract
other than the manufacturer’s Service Contract. If you
purchased a service contract that is not a
manufacturer’s Service Contract, and you require
service after your manufacturer’s new vehicle limited
warranty expires, please refer to your contract
documents and contact the person listed in those
documents. We appreciate that you ha
ve made a major investment
when you purchased your new vehicle. Your dealer
has also made a major investment in facilities, tools,
and training to assure that you are absolutely
delighted with your ownership experience. You’ll be
pleased with their sincere efforts to resolve any
warranty issues or related concerns.
