Opening/closing cases

for the anti-theft alarm
Place the motorcycle on the main (centre) or side stand
– Make sure the ground is level and firm.
Opening the case If necessary, unlock the case
Turn key in case lock to position A
Press the locking cylinder –Latch 2 snaps open
Grip handle 1
Open latch 2 (arrow)
Open the case
Closing the case
e Attention:
To ensure the case is leak-tight,
keep the sealing edges clear
when locking.
Close the lid of the case
Close latch 2
If necessary, lock the case
and remove the key

Opening/closing topcase
Opening the topcase If necessary, unlock the top-case
Turn key in topcase lock to position A
Press down locking cylinder –Latch 1 snaps open
Pull up latch 1 as far as it will
go (arrow)
You can now open the lid of
the topcase
– Topcase lighting B ON

Closing the topcase
L Note:
The interior light goes out auto-
matically when you close the
topcase.
Close topcase lid
Close latch 1 until it engages
If necessary, lock the topcase
and remove the key

Adjusting front seat:
Open the seat (b34)
– Mover adjuster 1 to the
desired position (arrow)
– The front seat can be set to
either of 2 positions:
–A = high
– B = low
Locking front seat
e Attention:
When closing the front seat:
– Fold in knob for adjusting spring strut
– Check that the front seat is
securely latched
Swing down the rear of the seat until it engages with an
audible click
