cially approved by Mercedes-Benz for your
vehicle. These tyres are specially suite dto your
vehicle's control systems, such as ABS or ESP.
Mercedes-Benz can accept no responsibility for
damage resulting from using tyr esother than

If you use tyres other tha nth ose which have
been tested and rec ommendedbyMe rcedes-
Benz, characteristics su chas handling, noise lev-
el sa nd fuel consumption could be adver selyaf-
fe ct ed. Moreover, dimensional variations and
different tyre deformation characterist ics when
ru nn ingunder load could cause the tyre to make
co ntact with the bodywork or axle components.
The con sequence could be damage to the tyre or
to th evehicle. i

ice Centre.

side of the vehicle's fuel filler flap. You will find

The vehicle will use more fuel than usual in
the following conditions:
! at very low temperatures
! in urban traffic
! on short trips
! when to wing a trailer
! in mountainous terrain
The consumption figures were determined
in acco rdan ce with EUDirec tive
19 99 /1 00/E C under the following
test conditions:
! Urban driv ing conditions are simulated
by frequent pulling awayand stopping.
! Extra-urban dr iving con ditions are sim-
ulated by accelerating from 0 to
120 km /husing all gears.
! Total fuel consumption is cal culated
us ing a weighting of approximately 37%
for urb andriving and approxi mately
63% for extra-urban driv ing. i
The act ual consumption value sof your vehi-
cl ema y deviate from the values given depending
on:
! Driving style
! Road and traffic conditions
! Environmental influences
! Vehicle's operating state
Mercedes-Benz isconstantly updating its
vehicles to the state of the art. Depending
on when the Owner's Manual went to print,
it may be that the current consumption val-
ues are lower than those listed inthe fol-
lowing table. The current consumption
val ues can be found in the COC papers (EC
CE RTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY). These pa-
pers are supplied when the veh icle is deliv-
