B370A01A-AAT HAZARD WARNING SYSTEM The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessary to stop the car ina hazardous location. When you must makesuch an emergency stop, always pull off the roadas far as possible.The hazard warning lights are turned on bypushing in the hazard switch. This causes all turnsignal lights to blink. The hazard warning lightswill operate even though the key is not in theignition.To turn the hazard warning lights off, push theswitch a second time.
HGK140 B380A01A-AAT REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER SWITCH The rear window defroster and heated outsides rearview mirrors are turned on by pushing in theswitch. To turn the defroster off, push the switcha second time. The rear window defroster auto-matically turns itself off after about 15 minutes.To restart the defroster cycle, push in the switchagain after it has turned itself off. CAUTION: Do not clean the inner side of the rear windowglass with an abrasive type of glass cleaneror use a scraper to remove foreign depositsfrom the inner surface of the glass as thismay cause damage to the defroster elements. NOTE: The ignition must be in the "ON" position forthe rear window defroster to operate. B400A01A-AAT DIGITAL CLOCK (If Installed) There are three control buttons for the digital clock. Their functions are: HOUR
- Push "H" to advance the hour indicated.
MIN - Push "M" to advance the minute indicated.
RESET - Push "R" to reset minutes to ":00" to
facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time. When this is done: Pressing "R" between 10 : 30 and 11 : 29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11: 30 and 12 : 29 changes the readout to 12 : 00.

(1) Push in the map light switch to turn on the driver side light.
(2) In the "DOOR" position, the interior courtesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the ignition key position. Thelight goes out gradually 6 seconds after thedoor is closed.

The spectacle case is located on the front over- head console.Push the end of the cover to open the spectaclecase. WARNING: Do not open the spectacle case while thevehicle is moving. The rear view mirror of thevehicle can be blocked by an open spectaclecase.(1) (2) (3)
B460E02GK-GAT Resetting the Sunroof SystemIf the battery has been recharged, disconnected or if the sunroof is operated with the hexagonalhead wrench manually, you may need to resetthe sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing "open" "up" button at the same
time, turn the ignition switch "ON". The resetting is failed when the ignition key to the "OFF" within 1.5 seconds.
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the sunroof is reset with tilting up/down automatically oncefor all.
CAUTION:If the sunroof is not reset, it may not beoperated properly.

SB290A1-F For the cigar lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" or the "ON"position. To use the cigar lighter, push the lighter all the way into its socket. When theelement is heated, the lighter will pop out into the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigar lighter at thedepressed position which may result in damage to the vehicle wiring or an electrical fire.If it is necessary to replace the cigar lighter, use only a genuine Hyundai replacement part. SB450A2-E Remote Hatchback door Release The hatchback door may be opened by pulling the lever to release the lock. The hatchback door should be closedby depressing the lid firmly until the latch engages. Ensure that hatchback door is securely latched before settingthe vehicle in motion. HGK2012-E

The hatchback door should always be kept completely closed whilst the vehicle is in motion. If it is leftopen or ajar, poisonous exhaust gases may enter the car resulting in serious illness or death to the occu-pants. See additional warnings con- cerning exhaust gases on page 2-2.
