SPECCABLE ROUTING DIAGRAM
ÏFasten the wire harness, TPS
lead (in the wire harness),
starter motor lead and negative
battery lead to the frame with a
plastic locking tie and cut off
the tie end.
ÌMake sure that the TPS cou-
pler does not go out the chas-
sis.
ÓFasten the TPS lead to the
frame with a plastic band.
ÈFasten the neutral switch lead
and oil hose together with the
plastic locking ties and cut off
the tie ends.
ÔPass the cylinder head
breather hose through the hose
holder.Fasten the neutral switch lead
to the frame with a plastic band
ends outward.
ÒFasten the neutral switch lead
and AC magneto lead to the
frame with a plastic band.
˜Pass the cylinder head
breather hose on the outside of
the radiator hose 1 and on the
inside of the radiator pipe (radi-
ator hose 4).
ˆPass the oil tank breather hose
on the outside of the AC mag-
neto lead, neutral switch lead,
lights switch lead, wire harness
and cylinder head breather
hose.ØPass the wire harness on the
outside of the neutral switch
lead and AC magneto lead.
∏Fit the brake hose into the
guides on the protector.
ŒPass the wire harness through
the cable guide.
ÂFasten the AC magneto lead,
neutral switch lead and lights
switch lead to the cable guide
at their protecting tube with a
plastic locking tie and cut off
the tie end.
ÍPass the carburetor breather
hoses, overflow hose and cool-
ant reservoir tank breather
hose so that the hoses do not
contact the rear shock
absorber.

ÌFasten the CDI unit lead to the
frame with a plastic locking tie ends
at the lower of the frame and cut off
the tie end.
ÓInsert the CDI unit band over the
CDI unit stay (frame) as far as pos-
sible.
ÈFasten the starter motor lead and
negative battery lead to the cable
bracket in its slot with a plastic lock-
ing tie and cut off the tie end.
ÔFasten the rectifier/regulator lead to
the rectifier/regulator bracket with a
plastic locking tie and cut off the tie
end.

COOLANT LEVEL INSPECTION
WARNING
Do not remove the radiator cap 1, drain
bolt and hoses when the engine and radia-
tor are hot. Scalding hot fluid and steam
may be blown out under pressure, which
could cause serious injury.
When the engine has cooled, place a thick
towel over the radiator cap, slowly rotate
the cap counterclockwise to the detent.
This procedure allows any residual pres-
sure to escape. When the hissing sound
has stopped, press down on the cap while
turning counterclockwise and remove it.
CAUTION:
Hard water or salt water is harmful to the
engine parts. You may use distilled water, if
you can’t get soft water.
1. Place the machine on a level place, and
hold it in an upright position.
2. Inspect:
Coolant level
Coolant level should be between the
maximum a and minimum b marks.
Coolant level is below the “LOW” level
line → Add soft water (tap water) up to
the proper level.
3. Start the engine and let it warm up for
several minutes.
4. Turn off the engine and check the coolant
level again.
NOTE:
Before checking the coolant level, wait a few
minutes until the coolant settles.

HINWEIS:
Das Kupplungszugspiel mit der vor
dem Hebel liegenden Einstell-
schraube 3 feineinstellen.
Nach der Einstellung des Seilzug-
spiels die Funktion des Kupplungs-
hebels prüfen. Arbeitsschritte
Sicherungsmutter 1 lockern.
Den Einsteller 2 drehen, bis
das Spiel a innerhalb des Soll-
bereichs erzielt wird.
Die Sicherungsmutter festzie-
hen.
GASZUGSPIEL EINSTELLEN
1. Kontrollieren:
Gaszugspiel a
Unvorschriftsmäßig → Ein-
stellen.
Gaszugspiel am Gas-

2. Einstellen:

Die Einstellerabdeckung schie-

Die Gegenmutter 1 lösen.
Den Einsteller 2 drehen, bis

Die Gegenmutter festziehen.
