Automatic operation Automatic changing of the four
gears :
select function Din the gate.
The gearbox always selects the most suitable gear according to the follow-ing parameters:
Ð the style of driving,
Ð the road profile,
Ð the vehicle load. The gearbox is then operating in auto-adaptive mode, without anyaction on your part.
WARNING Never select function Nwhen the
vehicle is moving. Never select functions Por Runless
the vehicle is stationary.Never change between functions to optimise braking on a slippery surface. Notes For immediate maximum accelera-
tion without touching the gear lever,press the accelerator pedal down as
far as it will go (kick down). The gear-box will automatically change downor maintain the gear selected untilmaximum engine speed is reached. When braking, the gearbox will auto- matically change down in order to
provide efficient engine braking. If you take your foot off the accelera-
tor suddenly, the gearbox will notchange to a higher gear for reasons
of safety.
Snow programme In addition to the auto-adaptive pro- gramme, there is a special programme. The programme is displayed on the instrument panel screen. This programme improves starting

Operation The twin fuel system allows petrol or liquid petroleum gas (LPG version) orcompressed natural gas (CNG
version) to be used indifferently. Press switch 1on the left-hand side of
the instrument panel:
Ð green indicator light 2on; operating
using LPG/CNG,
Ð red indicator light 3on; operating
using petrol. Starting Irrespective of the position of switch
1,
the engine always starts using petrol. The switch to operation using LPG/CNG will take place if switch 1
is in the LPG/CNG position. The indi-
cator light 2flashes until the engine
reaches an adequate temperature. The switch from one fuel to the other is displayed by the switching on/swit-
ching off of the corresponding indica-tor light 2or 3.
When the minimum LPG/CNG levelis reached, while driving, this is indi-cated by lighting of the red indicatorlight of the group of indicator lights 4;
the system then switches to operation
using petrol automatically. It is advisable to drive in petrol mode from time to time to keep thepetrol injection system in goodcondition.
