Place the jack 4in contact with
one of the four locating points A
on the sub-frame, the one which is closest to the wheel to bechanged.
Extend the jack 4until its base is
in contact with the ground.Ensure that the centre line of thebase of the jack is straight abovethe locating point A.
Raise the vehicle
Remove one bolt and install thecentralising tool 5in its place.
Unscrew the other bolts andremove the wheel.

Detach the wheel/holder assem- bly from the rear of the vehicle.
Take out the notched hook torelease the wheel, as shown inthe illustration. Removing the wheel
Slide the holder cover to gain access to the tools.
Place the chock 7under the
wheel diagonally opposite to theone to be changed.
Remove the trim, using thewheelbrace 1, pulling at the
valve passage hole (for vehiclesfitted with steel wheels).
Loosen the wheel bolts (see ¤"Special features of alloywheels" for vehicles fitted withalloy wheels). Note: you can use the other end
of the tool 6to unscrew the
wheel bolts.
