travelled
This is the distance remaining to the
destination. It can either be calculat
ed by the navigation if guidance is
activated, or entered by the user,
minus the distance covered since
the distance was entered.
Note:if digits are missing, dashes
are displayed in their place.
Average speed
This is the average speed calculated
since the computer was last set to
zero (with the ignition on).
The warnings log
This summarises the active warning
messages by displaying them on the
multifunction display.
The excess speed warning
function *
This monitors the maximum speed
required. In the event that the pro
grammed speed is exceeded, the
message ''Speed too high'' appears
on the multifunction display, accom
panied by an audible signal.
Programming
Accelerate to the desired speed.
Keep pressing the control to store in
memory.

Range
This shows the distance that can still
be covered with the fuel remaining in
the tank.
Note:
this figure may increase if there
is a change in the style of driving or
the road surface, producing a signifi
cant drop in current consumption.
If horizontal segments are displayed
for long periods instead of digits,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Current consumption
This is the average quantity of fuel
consumed during the last few sec
onds.
This function is displayed only when
the vehicle is travelling at a speed
greater than 20 mph (30 km/h).
Average consumption
This is the average fuel consumption
since the computer was last set to
zero.
Distance travelled
This indicates the distance travelled
since the computer was last set to
zero. Activation
Keep pressing the control until the
display indicates
''Excess speed
ON'' .
Switching off
Keep pressing the control until the
display indicates ''Excess speed
OFF'' .
The routes
The routes "1" and ''2''are indepen
dent but have identical application.
Route "1"for example allows you to
make daily calculations and route
"2" monthly calculations.

Manual operation: 
press or pull switch 1, without
going beyond the point of resis
tance. The window stops when
the switch is released.
Automatic operation:  or pull switch 1beyond the point
of resistance. One touch com
pletely opens or closes the win
dow.
Note: the electrical functions of the
electric windows are disarmed one
minute after switching off the
ignition.
Safety autoreverse
When the window rises and meets
an obstacle, it stops and lowers
again.
Note: in the event of ice, if the win
dow does not rise, press the switch
until the window is fully open, then
pull it again until the window closes.
Note: following reconnection of the
battery, if the window does not rise,
release the switch and pull it several
times until the window is fully
closed. Continue to hold the switch
for approximately one second after
the window has closed. Disarming
For the safety of your children, press
switch
5to disarm all of the electrical
controls in the rear:  electric windows,
 sliding side doors,
 sunroofs.
Always remove the igni
tion key on leaving the
vehicle, even for a short
time.

This automatically and gradually changes between the day and
night positions.
To prevent dazzling, the glass of the mirror darkens automatically depending on
the intensity of the light from behind. It clears as the li ght (headlamps of follow
ing vehicles, sunlight) decreases, ensuring maximum visibility.
Operation
Switch on the ignition and press switch 1:
– Indicator light 2lit (switch pressed): automatic operation.
– Indicator light 2off: automatic system off. The mirror remains at its most clear.
Special feature
T o ensure maximum visibility during manoeuvres, the mirror clears automatical
ly when reverse gear is engaged. Sun visor with illuminated
courtesy mirror
With the ignition on, the mirror is
automatically lit up when the flap is
opened.
Rear screen sun blind

then position its attachments on the
corresponding hooks.

Manual adjustment of the
headlamps
Depending on the load in your vehi
cle, adjusting the beam of your head
lamps is recommended.
0 1 or 2 people in the front seats.
1 5 people.
2 6 to 8 people.
3 Driver + maximum authorised

Initial setting is position 0.
Automatic adjustment of
headlamps
Refer to the paragraph on Lighting
under the section entitled 'Towing a
trailer...'. Hazard warning lights

Steering wheel height and
depth adjustment
When the vehicle is stationary,

Automatic lighting of hazard
warning lights*
When braking in an emergency,
depending on the force of decelera
tion, the hazard warning lights come
on automatically. They switch off
automatically the first time you accel
erate.
It is also possible to switch them off
by pressing the button on the fascia.

Off.
Comes on on opening one of the doors.
Permanently on, with the key in the accessories position or the i gnition on.

come on when the ignition key is
removed, on unlocking the vehicle or
on opening one of the doors.
They gradually go off after the igni
tion has been switched on
, after the
vehicle is locked or after the last door
is closed.  With the ignition off, pressing
switch 1turns on the front
and rear courtesy lights for ten
minutes.
 With the ignition off, pressing
switch 2 or 3 turns on the corre
sponding rear courtesy light for
ten minutes.
The front and rear map reading lights
are switched on by operating the cor
responding switch. These are active
when the key is in the accessories
position (1st notch) or the ignition is
on.

Changing a memorised speed
To memorise a speed higher than
the previous one: press button 3;
 release it when you have
reached the required speed.
To memorise a speed lower than the
previous one:  press button 2;
 release it when you have
reached the required speed.
Cancelling the cruise control  place knob 1in the OFFposition
or switch off the ignition.

CRUISE CONTROL
Cruise control enables the vehicle to
maintain a steady speed pro
grammed by the driver, regardless of
the road characteristics and without
the driver having to touch the accel
erator or brake pedals.
In order for it to be memorised, the
vehicle speed must be greater than
approximately 25 mph (40 km/h) and
fourth or fifth gear must be engaged.
Operation Place knob 1 in the ON
position.
A speed can be memorised.
Illumination of this indicator light indi
cates that the cruise control is on.  Place knob 1 in the OFF position
to cancel. Memorising a speed
As soon as you reach the chosen
speed, press button
2or 3. This
memorises the speed, which will be
maintained automatically.
Note: It ispossible to accelerate
momentarily without disarming the
cruise control.
Cancelling the memorised speed
If you wish to cancel the memorised
speed:  Press button 4or the brake or
clutch pedal.
The warning light goes out to indi
cate that the cruise control is dis
armed.
Recalling the memorised speed
After cancellation, press button 2 or
3 . Your vehicle will return to the last
memorised speed.
Illumination of the indicator light
indicates that the cruise control is
operating again.
Do not use cruise control
on slippery roads or in
heavy traffic.

Reverse
*
To change to reverse gear, lift the
ring under the gear lever knob and
push the gear lever to the left then to
the front.
Reverse gear can only be
engaged when the vehicle is sta
tionary with the engine idling.

The air bags have been designed to
maximise the safety of the occu
pants in the event of serious colli
sions. They work in conjunction with
the forcelimiting seat belts. The
electronic detectors register and
analyse any abrupt deceleration of
the vehicle : if the triggering thresh
old is reached, the air bags inflate
instantly and protect the occupants
of the vehicle.
Immediately after the impact, the air
bags deflate rapidly so that they do
not hinder the visibility of the occu
pants nor their exit if necessary from
the vehicle.
The air bags are not deployed in the
case of collisions which are not seri
ous, for which the seat belt is suffi
cient to ensure maximum protection.
The seriousness of a collision
depends on the nature of the obsta
cle and the speed of the vehicle at
the moment of the collision.
Air bags only operate when the
ignition is switched on.
Note:
the gas escaping from the air
bags can be a minor irritant. FRONT AIR BAGS
These are folded in the centre of the
steering wheel for the driver and in
the fascia for the front passenger.
They are deployed simultaneously,
except in cases where the passen
ger air bag is disarmed.
Front air bag fault
If this warning light comeson, accompanied by an
audible signal and the mes
sage "Air bag fault" on the
multi–function display, con
tact a PEUGEOT dealer to
have the system checked.
