TAILGATE Simultaneous locking or unlocking of the tailgate andthe doors The tailgate is locked or unlocked by the remote control or the driver's door lock.
To open, pull handle Aand lift the
tailgate.Note: the tailgate locks automatical-
ly when the vehicle is being driven at 10 km/h and unlocks when one ofthe doors is opened.
"Tailgate open" warning When the engine is running or if the vehicle is being driven, the flashingof the central "STOP"warning light
accompanied by an audible signaland a diagram displayed briefly onthe multi-function display warns youthat the tailgate is not properly closed. Tailgate release This enables the tailgate to be unloc- ked in the event of a central lockingfault.

Your vehicle is fitted with a tinted glass panoramic roof, with an electric
concealing shutter. This improvesthe brightness, visibility and temper-ture conditions in the passengercompartment.
To open:
press part Aof the switch.
To close: press part Bof the switch.
Manually: press the switch without
going past the point of resistance; the shutter stops as soon as the switch is released. Automatically: press the switch
beyond the point of resistance; one press fully opens or closes the shut-
ter. Press the switch again to stop
the shutter.
Safety auto-reverse At the end of its travel, if the shutter encounters an obstacle to closing, it
stops and moves back slightly.

OPENING THE BONNET From inside:push the handle on the
left hand side under the fascia. From outside: lift the catch and
raise the bonnet. Bonnet strut Secure the strut to hold the bonnet open. Before closing the bonnet, replace the strut in its housing.
To close Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel. Check that thebonnet is properly locked. "Bonnet open" warning With the engine running or the vehicle moving, flashing of the central
"STOP" warning light accompanied by an audible signal and a diagram
on the multi-function display, warnsyou that the bonnet is not properlyclosed. FILLING WITH FUEL Low fuel level
When the minimum fuel level in the tank is rea-ched, this warning lightcomes on.
You can still drive
approximately 30 miles (50 km). Flashing of the warning light indi- cates a malfunction of the fuelgauge.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.The engine must be switched off when filling with fuel.
Open the fuel filler flap.
Insert the key then turn it to theleft.
Remove the cap and hang it onthe hook located on the inside ofthe flap.
A label affixed to the inside of the fuelfiller flap indicates which type of fuelto use. When you fill your tank, do not conti-
nue after the third cut-off of the
pump. This could cause your vehicleto malfunction. The capacity of the tank is approxi- mately 13 gallons (60 litres). After filling the tank, lock the cap and close the fuel filler flap.

These operate with the side lightsand the dipped beam headlamps. Front and rear foglamps (2nd rotation ofthe ring forwards). These operate with the
side lights and the dipped/main beam headlamps. Note: to switch off the rear fog lamp
and the front fog lamps, turn the ring backwards twice in succession. Direction indicators (flashers)
Left : downwards.
Right : upwards.

In good or rainy weather, both day and night, therear fog lamp is dazzlingand is prohibited. Do not forget to switch
the fog lamp off when it is no lon- ger needed.

AUTOMATIC SWITCHING ON OF LIGHTS Side lights and dipped beam head- lamps switch on automatically if the
light is poor, or during operation of
the windscreen wipers. They switch
off when the light becomes brightenough or the windscreen wipersstop. Note:In foggy weather or in snow,
the brightness sensor can detect suf-
ficient light. As a consequence, the
lights will not come on automatically. This function is active when the vehicle is delivered.
To disarm or activate the function: Start with the key in the accesso- ries position (1st notch),
Press the end of the lights stalkfor more than two seconds.
Note: after the ignition is switched off
and depending on the brightness,the lights remain on for approximate-ly 45 seconds or until the vehicle islocked. Do not cover the brightness sen- sor located in the centre of thefascia. Disarming Disarming of the function is accom- panied by an audible signal. Note: the function is disarmed tem-
porarily when the driver uses the manual lighting controls. If the brightness sensor does not function correctly , the system acti-
vates the function (the lights come
on). The driver is alerted by anaudible signal, accompanied by themessage "Automatic switching on
of lights faulty" on the multi-func-
tion display.

ADJUSTING THE HEADLAMPS Depending on the load in your vehicle, adjusting the beam of theheadlamps is recommended as fol-lows. 0 1 or 2 people in the front seats.

Initial setting is position 0. HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS Press the button, the direction indi- cators flash. They can operate with the ignition
off. Automatic lighting of hazard warning lights*
When braking in an emergency, depending on the force of decelera-tion, the hazard warning lights come
on automatically. They switch offautomatically the first time you acce-lerate.
It is also possible to switch them off by pressing the button.

4 - 3rd row rear courtesy lightWith the key in the accessories position (1st notch) or with the ignition on, operate the relevant switch. The front and rear courtesy lights and the reading lights come on when the ignition key is removed, on unlocking the vehicle or on opening one of the doors.
They gradually go off after the ignition has been switched on or the vehicle is locked. Pressing switch 1turns on the front and rear courtesy lights and the reading lights for a duration of ten minutes.
Pressing switch 3or 4turns on the reading light concerned or the rear courtesy light for a duration of ten minutes.
Note: The courtesy lights and the reading lights can be deactivated by pressing switch 1for more than three seconds.
However, a short press on switch 1switches the front courtesy light on and off. The map reading lights are not affected by
this and may be switched on. To re-activate the lights, press the switch for more than three seconds.

INTERIOR LAYOUT
1 - Glove boxThis is fitted with a lock.
To open the glove box, lift the handle.The glove box lights when the lid is opened.It contains a ventilation nozzle that can be closed, distributing the same conditioned air as the vents of the passenger compartment, and three sockets for connecting video equipment. The layout allows storage of a water bottle, a pen, the vehicle handbook, a pair of spectacles, tokens etc.
2 - Front ashtray Pull the lid to open the ashtray.
To empty it after opening, press the tab and extract the ashtray.
3 - Storage
4 - 12 volt accesories socket This is a lighter type socket, fitted with a cap. It is supplied with current from the accessories position (1st notch).

7 - Rubbish container To empty, open it fully (past the point of resistance) then pull on the receptacle to remove it.
To refit, lock it in place on the cover.
