FRONT AIRBAGS Disarming the passenger airbag Insert the ignition key in switch 1
and turn it:
Ð to the ÒONÓposition, the pas-
senger airbag is armed
Ð to the ÒOFFÓposition, the pas-
senger airbag is not armed.
If the passenger airbag is armed or if your vehicle is not fitted with apassenger airbag, the warninglight comes on for 6 seconds whenthe ignition is switched on. If the passenger airbag is notarmed, one of the warning lightsremains on. Always contact your PEUGEOT dealer if the warning light flashes.
THE REMOTE CONTROL
A single press on button Alocks
the doors and boot or tailgate.
A single press on button Bunlocks
the vehicle.
KEYS
Using the key in the driverÕs door lock will lock or unlock the doorsand boot or tailgate.
Passenger airbag precautions
For a vehicle fitted with a disarm- ing switch:
Ð disarm theairbag if youinstall a rear-wards-facingchild seat.
Ð arm the airbag whenan adult is inthe seat.
For a vehicle not fitted with a dis-arming switch:
Ð do not install rear-wards-facing child seats on the front passengerseat. Never place your feet or any object onthe fascia.
Operational Check This is by means of the warning light on the instrument panel.

FOLDING REAR SEAT BACK
To fold the seat back:
- from inside the boot, release control 1
- position the seat belt under the strap guide B
- unlock the seat back by press- ing button A
- tilt the seat back
- tilt the backrest. When repositioning the seat back, ensure thatthe seat belts are posi-tioned correctly and theseat back is secured cor-rectly .
FOLDING REAR SEATS (all models)
To fold the rear seats:
- insert the seat belt stalks in the hooks A.
- pull the strap 1.
- tilt the seat cushion 2against the front seats.
- position the seat belt under the lever 3(5-door and estate) or on the top
of the seat back (3-door).
- unlock the seat back using the controls on the side 3(5-door and estate)
or on the seat back 4 (3-door).
- tilt the seat back 4.
To tilt the rear seats, always start with the seat cushion, never with the backrest (risk of damage). When repositioning, take care to avoid trapping the seat belts under the seat cushion or behind the seat back.
