outgrown child saf ety seats, are
wearing their seat belts and
wearingthemproperly(seepage ).

properly restrained in a child seat
in a back seat (see page ). The rest of this section gives more

can maximize your saf ety.
Remember, however, that no saf ety
system can prevent all injuries or
deaths that can occur in severe
crashes, even when seat belts are
properly worn and the airbags deploy.

for a tether-style child seat to be
installed on the second or third row
as shown.
Since a tether can provide additional
security, we recommend using a
tether whenever one is required or
available.Each second row bucket seat has a
tether attachment point on the
underside of the seat cushion.Lift the head restraint, then route
the tether strap over the seat-back
between the legs of the head
restraint.
