OPENING THE BONNET Inside the vehicle: Push the
control on the right-hand side, under the instrument panel. Outside the vehicle: lift the control, raise thebonnet and secure thestrut to keep the bonnetopen.
FILLING WITH FUEL This operation must be carried out with the
engine switched off.
➜ Open the fuel filler flap by pressing the front of it.
➜ Insert the key then turn it to the left.
➜ Remove the cap and hook it onto the hook on the inside of the flap.
An indication on the cap shows which type of fuel to use.
When you fill your tank, do not continue after the third cut-off of the
pump. This could cause a malfunction. The capacity of the tank is approximately 70 litres. ➜ After filling the tank, lock the cap and close the flap.
Low fuel level warning light
From the time this light comes on, you have approxima-
tely 8 litres of fuel left.

Moving Off With the engine running, to move
off from position P:
➜ it is essential to press thebrake pedal to exit positionP,
➜ select the function R, D or M,
then gradually release thepressure on the brake pedal;
the vehicle will move off
immediately.
Y ou can also move off from posi-
tion N:
➜ release the handbrake, with
your foot on the brake,
➜ select function R, D or M, then
gradually release the pressureon the brake pedal; the vehicle
will move off immediately.
When the engine is idlingwith the brakes notapplied, if function R, D
or Mis selected, the
vehicle moves without the acce-lerator being pressed. For this reason, do not leave
children unsupervised inside the vehicle, with theengine running.

AUTOMATIC GEARBOX "PORSCHE TIPTRONIC SYSTEM"
The four-speed automaticgearbox offers a choice between the comfort of
automatic integral regulation enhanced by a snow programme , or the
pleasure of manual gear changing .
Gear selection gate ➜ Move the lever in the gate to select one of the functions. Once the function is selected, the indicator light for that function is dis- played on the instrument panel screen.
W: snow programme.
P ark: to immobilise the vehicle or to start the
engine , with the handbrake on or off.
R everse to reverse(select this function with the
vehicle stationary and the engine at idle). N eutral to start the engine or to park, with the
handbrake on.Note : if position Nis engaged by mistake while the
car is moving, allow the engine to return to idling speed before engaging function Dto accelerate.
D rive for automatic gear changing.
M anual: for manualgear changing.
To change the four gearsmanually:
➜ Push the lever to the +symbol to change up a gear and pull the handle
towards the –symbol to change down a gear.
Note: theW (snow) programme does not operate when in manual mode.

To empty it, after opening, remove it by pulling

10. TABLE (2-seat bench seat) The table is in the seat back of the 2-seat bench seat. Pull the handle at the top of the seat back to fold the table. It has:- a document clip,

SERVICE INDICATOR Located on the instrument panel with the total distance recorder (total andtrip distances), this programmes ser-vice intervals depending on the useof the vehicle. Operation Afew moments after the ignition has
been switched on, the spanner sym- bolising a service lights up; the dis-play for the total distance recordertells you (in round figures) the dis-tance remaining before your nextservice. Example: 4 800 km remain before
the next service is due. When the ignition is switched on and for a fewseconds, the display shows: A
few seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the total distance recor-der resumes normal operation andthe display shows the total andor tripdistances. The distance remaining before the next service is less than 1 000 km Each time the ignition is switched on and for a few seocnds, the servicespanner and the distance flash. A few seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the distance recorder resumes normal operation and the
service spanner remains lit. Thisindicates that a service should be
carried out shortly. The service is overdue Each time the ignition is switched on and for a few seconds, the symboland the excess distance flash untilthe service is carried out. A
few seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the distance recorder resumes normal operation and theservice spanner remains lit.

Speed alarm The "Speed Alarm" function
enables you to monitor the speed of the vehicle.
To enable the system to detect an
excessive speed and warn you of this, you must: - activate the "Alarm" function,
- set the permitted speed threshold in the "Speed" function,
- activate the "Buzzer" function. Modem The
"Modem" function permits an
exchange of data between the sys- tem and a laptop.
To permit an exchange of data, you
must: - connect the computer to the sys- tem using its cable located in thecentre of the instrument panelunder the storage compartment,
- configure the serial port of thecomputer to 9600 bits/s; 8 databits; no parity; 1 stop bit; fux
Xon/Xoff check,
- install the modem on the computer,
- activate the "Modem" function,
- insert the SIM card.
For safety reasons, confi- guration of the multifunc-tion displays by the drivermust be carried out when
stationary.
