The menu ''Guidance options'' pro-
vides access to the following func- tions:
Ð changing of the route calculation criteria,
Ð voice synthesis adjustment of gui- dance messages,
Ð description of the information rela- ting to the navigation CD-Rom,
Ð management of the addresses sto- red in the directory.
Guidance options
The last criteria used is displayed.Select a criterion from the list, then validate by pressing the knob. When the criterion of your choice has been selected, select the "OK"
function then confirm by pressing theknob. Adjusting the voice synthesiser Select the type of voice "male"or
"female" , after inserting the configu-
ration CD-ROM.Adjust the volume of the voice syn- thesis by turning the knob, then vali-date by pressing the knob. Note: the volume can also be adjus-
ted during a message, using the audio/telephone button on the stee-ring wheel control. Management of the directory This function enables you to rename or delete an address stored in the
directory. Select the description corresponding to the stored address to be changed. Select the
"Delete"function or the
"Rename" function, then confirm by
pressing the knob. Select the "OK"function, then
confirm by pressing the knob to record the changes made. Stopping / Resuming guidance
- "Stop guidance" During guidance, select this function then validate.
- "Resume guidance" In the absence of guidance select this function then validate to activateguidance to the last destination pro-grammed.

multi-function display, indi-
cates that the handbrake is still on orhas not been properly released.
Operating abnormality Any operating abnormality is indica- ted by an audible signal accompa-nied by the message "Automatic
gearbox faulty" on the multi-func-
tion display and flashing of the Sportand Snow warning lights on the ins-trument panel. In this situation the gearbox operates in downgrade mode (locked in 3rd
gear). You may feel a substantialknock when changing from Pto R
and from Nto R(this will not cause
any damage to the gearbox). Do not exceed 100 km/h, keeping within the limit of local speed restric-tions.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible. Illumination of this warninglight, accompanied by anaudible signal and the mes-sage
"Braking fault" on the
multi-function display, indi-
cates a malfunction of the electronicbrake force distribution, which cancause a loss of control of the vehiclewhen braking.
Stop immediately.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
HANDBRAKE Locking Pull the handbrake to immobilise your vehicle.
Warning:
when parking on a slope,
direct your wheels towards the pave- ment and pull the handbrake. ABS ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
The ABS with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBFD) increases thestability and manoeuvrability of yourvehicle, particularly on poor or slip-pery road surfaces. Note:
when changing wheels (tyres
and rims), make sure that these are approved. The anti-lock braking system comes into operation automatically whenthere is a risk of wheel lock.

If the battery is flat and the lever is in position P, it
will be impossible tochange to another posi-tion. Normal operation of the ABS maymake itself felt by slight vibrationsof the brake pedal. In emergency braking, press very firmly without releasingthe pressure.
