Differential gear oil
Differential gear oil measurement
1. Place the machine on a level place.
2. Remove the oil filler bolt and check the oil
level. It should be up to the brim of the
hole. If the level is low, add sufficient oil to
raise it to the specified level.CAUTION:Be sure no foreign material enters the differen-tial gear case.
3. Install the oil filler bolt and tighten it to the
specified torque.
Tightening torque:
Oil filler bolt:
23 Nm (2.3 m·kg)
1. Differential gear oil
2. Differential gear case oil filler bolt
3. Specified level
1. Huile de différentiel
2. Boulon de remplissage du carter de différentiel
3. Niveau d’huile spécifié
1. Aceite de engranajes del diferencial
2. Perno de relleno de aceite de la caja del diferencial

3. Refill with the same type of brake fluid.
Mixing fluids may result in a harmful
chemical reaction and lead to poor brake
performance.
4. Be careful that water does not enter the
master cylinder reservoir when refilling.
Water will significantly lower the boiling
point of the fluid and may result in vapor
lock.
5. Brake fluid may deteriorate painted sur-
faces or plastic parts. Always clean up
spilled fluid immediately.
6. Have a Yamaha dealer check the cause if
the brake fluid level goes down.
