2. Remove the fuel filler c ap b y turning it slowly counterc loc kwise.
3. Stop filling the tank after the fuel filler p ump automatic ally c lic ks off.
Do not ad d any more fuel.
4. Put the c ap b ac k on, turn it c loc kwise until you hear a c lic king
noise. Be c ertain not to c atc h the tether und er the c ap while tig hten-
ing .
5. Close the fuel filler lid c omp letely.
If you sp ill any fuel on the p ainted surfac e, rinse it off immed iately.
Otherwise, the p ainted surfac e c ould b e d amag ed . NOTE If the fuel filler cap is not tightened until it clicks or if the tether is caught under the cap, the CHECK ENGINE warning light maycome on. Refer to the “Warning and indicator lights ” section lo-
cated in chapter 3.

After hitc hing a trailer to your vehic le, c hec k tha t the stand ard sid e
mirrors p rovid e a g ood rearward field of view witho ut sig nific ant b lind
sp ots. If sig nific ant b lind sp ots oc c ur with the ve hic le’s stand ard sid e
mirrors, use towing mirrors that c onform with Fed er al, state/p rovinc e
and /or other ap p lic ab le reg ulations.

Unlatc h the c over b y p ushing the knob and op en the c over.
For covers on the trunk wall:
Unlatc h the c over b y moving the knob up ward and op e n the c over.
3. Remove the b ulb soc ket from the lig ht assemb ly b y turning it c oun-
terc loc kwise.
4. Remove the b ulb from the soc ket.Rear turn signal light: Remove the b ulb from the soc ket b y p ushing
it and turning it c ounterc loc kwise.Others: Pull the b ulb out of the soc ket.
