Switching telephone operation on and off
Press , the menu for entering the unlock code will
appear.Entering the unlock code
Use the number keys ... to enter the unlock-
code. Asterisks will appear in place of the digits in the
input line.
If the input code is correct and the phone is registered
in a network, the phone is ready for use.
Switching off the telephone system
The telephone will change to sleep mode if you switch to
an audio mode, navigation mode or switch off the MCS
system.

Note:
Your unlock code prevents unauthorized persons from
using your telephone. Be sure to memorize this code
carefully. The code is a three digit number.
If you enter an incorrect code, the system returns to the
menu for entering the unlock code.
The unlock code must be entered when the telephone is
switched on for the first time (if phone is in lock mode),
but not if you switch to it from another system (i.e.
radio).
The emergency number programmed in memory loca-
tion 1 can be used even if the unlock code has not been
entered.
“NO SERVICE” - this message will appear in case the
phone is not registered in a network or the network is
no longer receivable because of bad receiving condi-
tions. In this case, the emergency call number cannot be
used.If the telephone is ready for operation “READY” will
appear. In the display the received signal is indicated by
1 to 5 bars, with 5 indicating a strong signal. If you are
not in a home network, the roaming indicator “R” will
be shown.

Incoming calls
If the system detects an incoming call the phone rings
and “CALL” will appear on the display. When the call is
answered, the call time will appear in the display.Accepting a call:
Press , the current audio source is automatically
muted.
Refusing a call:
Press , the main telephone display disappears and
the previous source is restored.
Ending a call:
Press , the main telephone display disappears and
the previous source is restored.

Setting volume for hands-free operation:
Raising the volume - turn rotary/push-button (1) to the
right (clockwise)
Lowering the volume - turn rotary/push-button (1) to
the left (counterclockwise)Accepting an incoming call and using the mobile
cellular telephone handset
Removing the telephone from its cradle will switch
hands-free operation off.

Please be sure to pay attention to the traffic situa-
tion at all times. Use the mobile cellular telephone

only when the traffic situation allows.
Some jurisdictions prohibit the driver from using a
cellular telephone while driving a vehicle. Whether
or not prohibited by law, for safety reasons, the
driver should not use the cellular telephone while
the vehicle is in motion. Stop the vehicle in a safe
location before answering or placing a call.
