GAUGES, METERS AND SERVICE REMINDER INDICATORS
66If either of the following conditions occurs, this indicates
a malfunction somewhere in the parts monitored by the
warning light system. Contact your Lexus dealer as
soon as possible to service the vehicle:

The ªVSCº warning light and/or ªVSC OFFº indicator
light do/does not come on after the ignition is turned
to on.
 The ªVSCº warning light and ªVSC OFFº indicator
light are left on after the ignition is turned to on.
 The ªVSCº warning light and ªVSC OFFº indicator
light come on while driving without pushing ªVSC
OFFº switch.
(l) ªTRAC OFFº Indicator/Warning Light
(Vehicles with Traction Control
System only)
This light warns that when there is a problem
somewhere in the traction control system.
The light will come on when the ignition key is turned to
ªONº, and will go off after a few seconds.
If either of the following conditions occurs, this indicates
malfunction somewhere in the parts monitored by the
warning light system. Contact your Lexus dealer as
soon as possible to service the vehicle.
The light does not come after the ignition is turned to
on. 
The light is left on after the ignition is turned to on.
 The light comes on while driving without pushing
ªTRAC OFFº switch.
 The light flashes.

(m) Low Washer Fluid Warning Light
This light comes on when the fluid level in the tank
becomes nearly empty. F ill the tank as soon as possible.
(n) Low Fuel Level Warning Light
This light comes on when the fuel level in the tank
becomes nearly empty. F ill the tank as soon as possible.
On inclines or curves, due to the movement of fuel in the
tank, the low fuel level warning light may come on earlier
than usual.
(o) Automatic Headlight Leveling System Warning Light (Vehicles with
discharge headlight only)
This light warns that when there is a problem
somewhere in the automatic headlight leveling
system.
If it comes on, have your vehicle checked by your Lexus
dealer.
(p) Key Reminder Buzzer
This buzzer reminds you to remove the key when you
open the driver's door with the ignition key in the ªACCº
or ªLOCKº position.
How to check all the service reminder
indicators
(except the low fuel level warning light and low
washer fluid warning light):
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Open the door.
The following service reminder indicator should come
on. It goes off when you close the door completely.
3. Turn the ignition key to ªACCº.
The following service reminder indicator should come
on. It goes off after 6 seconds.
4. Turn the ignition key to ªONº.
The following service reminder indicators should come
on.

To use the vanity mirrors, swing the sun visor down
and open the cover.
The vanity lights come on when you open the cover.

Take care not to swing back the sun visor withoutpushing back the extension plate so as not todamage the extension plate.

To turn on the interior light, slide the switch.
With the switch in the ªDOORº position, the light comes
on when any of the doors are opened. After all the doors
are closed, the light remains on for about 15 seconds
and then goes out.
However, in the following cases, the light goes out
immediately:
1. All the doors are closed when the ignition key is in
ªACCº or ªONº position.
2. The ignition key is turned to ªACCº or ªONº when the
light is still on.
3. All the doors are locked when the light is still on.
4. One door is closed with the lock button pushed in
while the other doors are locked.
