4. Be certain your vehicle is towed no
faster than
35 mph (56 km/h) and no
farther than
50 miles (80 km) to
avoid damage to your transaxle.

A Steam from an overheated
r - n engine can bum you badly,
even
if you just open the hood. Stay
away from
the engine if you see or
hear steam coming from it. Just
turn
it off and get everyone away
from
the vehicle until it cools down.
Wait
until there is no sign of steam
or coolant before opening the hood.
If you keep driving when your
engine
is overheated, the liquids in
it can catch fire. You or others
could
be badly burned. Stop your
engine
if it overheats, and get out
of the vehicle
until the engine is
cool.

Used Replacement Wheels Tire Chains
Using the wrong replacement

braking and handling

and make you lose control. You
could have a collision in which you

lse the correct wheel, wheel bolts,

Putting a used wheel on your
vehicle is dangerous. You
can t
know how it’s been used or
how many miles it’s been driven. It
-ould fail suddenly and cause an
,ccident. If
you have to replace a
wheel, use
a new GM original
equipment wheel.

Use tire chains only when y
must. Use only SAE Class ‘23’’
type chains that are the proper size
for your tires. Install them on the
front tires and tighten them as
tightly as possible with the ends
securely fastened. Drive slowly
and follow the chain manu-
facturer’s instructions. If
you can
hear the chains contacting your
vehicle, stop and retighten them.
If
the contact continues, slow down
until it stops. Driving too fast with chains on will damage your
vehicle.
