operations is performed during auto
mode or the auto operat

NOTE

If any of the following switch
operations is performed during auto
mode or the auto operation of the
climate control system is canceled,
the seat warmer switches from auto
mode to manual mode.

When the seat warmer switch/seat
ventilation switch is pressed, only the
seat on the side where the switch
was pressed switches to manual
mode.
To return to auto operation, press
the AUTO switch for the climate
control system.
If the engine is turned off while the
seat warmer is operating in auto
mode, the seat warmer operates in
auto mode again the next time the
engine is turned on.

WARNING
Be careful when using the seat
warmer:
The heat from the seat warmer may be
too hot for the following people and
could cause a low-temperature burn.
 Infants, small children, elderly
people, and physically challenged
people
 People with delicate skin
 People who are excessively fatigued
 People who are intoxicated
 People who have taken
sleep-inducing medicine such as
sleeping pills or cold medicine
Do not use the seat warmer with
anything having high
moisture-retention ability such as a
blanket or cushion on the seat:
The seat may be heated excessively
and cause a low-temperature burn.
Do not use the seat warmer even
when taking a short nap in the
vehicle:
The seat may be heated excessively
and cause a low-temperature burn.
Do not place heavy objects with sharp
projections on the seat, or insert
needles or pins into it:
This could cause the seat to become
excessively heated and result in injury
from a minor burn.
CAUTION
(Rear)
Before folding a rear seatback, make
sure that the rear seat warmer switch
is off. If a rear seatback is folded
while the rear seat warmer is in
operation, it may heat the seat
excessively and damage the seat
surface.
 Do not use organic solvents to clean
the seat. It may damage the seat
surface and the heater.
NOTE
(Vehicles with seat ventilation)
The front seat warmer cannot be used
at the same time as the seat
ventilation.

the battery power to be depleted.

The seat ventilation cannot be used
at the same time as the seat warmer.
Heated Steering Wheel*

The grips on the left and right of the
steering wheel can be warmed up
when the ignition is switched ON.
While the heated steering wheel is
operating , the indicator light in the
heated steering wheel switch turns on.

Manual mode
The heated steering wheel operates for
about 30 minutes when the heated
steering wheel switch is pressed, and
then automatically turns off.
To turn the heated steering wheel off
manually, press the switch again.
Auto mode
The heated steering wheel can be
operated in conjunction with auto
mode for the climate control system.
Auto mode operates when auto mode
is enabled in the Mazda Connect
settings.
Refer to the Settings section in the
Mazda Connect Owner's Manual.
Press the AUTO switch to select auto
mode.
While operating in auto mode, the

operated, while the vehicle is
stopped by the MRCC with Stop &
Go function/TJA, the engine will
automatically restart if the selector
lever is in the D/M position (not in
second gear ﬁxed mode).

AUTOHOLD function)
1. When the brake pedal is depressed while the vehicle is being driven
and the vehicle comes to a stop,
the i-stop function will operate and
continue to operate even if the
brake is released (except when
driving in the R or M position

2. The engine restarts automatically when the accelerator pedal is
depressed with the selector lever in
the D/M position (not in second
gear ﬁxed mode).
3. If the selector lever is in the N or P position, the engine does not
restart when the brake pedal is

or the selector lever is shifted to the
D, M (not in second gear ﬁxed

km/h (12 mph) or slower while in

engine restarts automatically.
Operation conditions
Under the following conditions, engine
idling stops and the i-stop indicator

The engine has been started and the
vehicle is driven for a certain period.
The engine is started with the hood
closed.
All doors, liftgate, and hood are
closed.
The driver's seat belt is unfastened
and the driver's door is opened.
The hood is opened.The air conditioner is not operating
with the airﬂow mode in the
position.The temperature setting dial of the
air conditioner is in a position other
than maximum heating or maximum
cooling (A/C ON) position.
(Automatic climate control system)
The vehicle's interior temperature
and the set temperature for the air
conditioner are nearly the same.
The i-stop warning light (amber) is

The keyless entry & push button start
system functions are normal.
