REMOVING THE KEY BLADE
Push the release button on your passive keyand pull the key blade out.
SOUNDING THE PANIC ALARM
Press the button to sound thepanic alarm. Press the buttonagain or switch the ignition on toturn it off.
Note:The panic alarm only operates whenthe ignition is off.
LOCATING YOUR VEHICLE
Press the lock button twice withinthree seconds. The turn signallamps flash. We recommend youuse this method to locate your vehicle.

OPERATING THE DOORS FROM
OUTSIDE YOUR VEHICLE
UNLOCKING AND LOCKING THEDOORS USING THE REMOTECONTROL
You can only use the remote control whenyour vehicle is stationary.
Unlocking the Doors
Press the button to unlock alldoors. One long flash of the turnsignal lamps confirms that yourvehicle has unlocked.
Locking the Doors
Press the button to lock all doors. One short flash of the turn signallamps confirms that your vehiclehas locked.
UNLOCKING AND LOCKING THEDOORS USING THE KEY BLADE
If there is a power door lock fault you canuse the key blade to lock and unlock thedoors.
Turn clockwise to lock.
Turn counterclockwise to unlock.

The power door lock control is on the frontdoors.

AUTOUNLOCK
WHAT IS AUTOUNLOCK
Autounlock is an unlocking feature thatunlocks the vehicle doors when your vehiclecomes to a stop.
AUTOUNLOCK REQUIREMENTS
Autounlock unlocks all the doors after all ofthe following occur.
1.All the doors are closed and your vehicleis moving at a speed greater than 12 mph(20 km/h).
2.Your vehicle comes to a stop.
3.You open the driver door within 10minutes of switching the ignition off or tothe accessory position.
Note:If you open the driver door after 10minutes, Autounlock does not unlock allother doors.
SWITCHING AUTOUNLOCK ON ANDOFF
1.Press Settings on the touchscreen.
2.Press Vehicle Settings.
3.Switch Autounlock on or off.
AUTOLOCK
WHAT IS AUTOLOCK
Autolock is a locking feature that locks yourvehicle doors when you start driving.
AUTOLOCK REQUIREMENTS
Autolock locks all the doors when all of thefollowing occur:
•All doors are closed.
•The ignition is on.
•Your vehicle reaches a speed greaterthan 12 mph (20 km/h).
MISLOCK
WHAT IS MISLOCK
Mislock is a locking feature that warns youif your vehicle has not locked.
MISLOCK LIMITATIONS
When you press the lock button once, theturn signals do not flash if:
•Any door or the tailgate is open.
•The hood is open.
If you switch mislock off, the horn does notsound if you press the lock button on theremote control when a door is open.

PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
WHAT IS THE PASSIVE ANTI-THEFTSYSTEM
The passive anti-theft system preventssomeone from starting the vehicle with anincorrectly coded key.
Note:Do not leave a duplicate coded keyin your vehicle. Always take the keys andlock all the doors when leaving your vehicle.
HOW DOES THE PASSIVE ANTI-THEFTSYSTEM WORK
The passive anti-theft system arms when youswitch the ignition off.
It disarms when the ignition is switched onwith a correctly coded key.
Note:The system is not compatible withnon-Ford aftermarket remote start systems.
Note:Do not leave a duplicate coded keyin your vehicle. Always take the keys andlock all doors when leaving your vehicle.
ANTI-THEFT ALARM SYSTEM
WHAT IS THE ANTI-THEFT ALARMSYSTEM
The anti-theft alarm system warns you of anunauthorized entry to your vehicle.
HOW DOES THE ANTI-THEFT ALARMSYSTEM WORK
When armed, the anti-theft alarm is triggeredin any of the following ways:
•If someone opens a door, the tailgate orthe hood without a correctly coded keyor remote control.
•If you turn the power on without acorrectly coded key.
•If the interior sensors detect movementinside your vehicle.
•If the inclination sensors detect anattempt to raise your vehicle.
•If someone disconnects the vehiclebattery or the battery backup alarm.
•If someone disconnects the trailer. SeeConnecting a Trailer (page 345).
Any further attempts to carry out one of theabove, sounds the alarm again.
If the anti-theft alarm is triggered, the alarmhorn sounds for 30 seconds and the turnsignals flash for five minutes.
WHAT IS THE PERIMETER ALARM
The perimeter alarm is designed to detectunauthorized access to your vehicle.
WHAT ARE THE INTERIOR SENSORS
The interior sensors are designed to detectany movement inside your vehicle.
The interior sensors are in the overheadconsole.
Note:Do not cover the interior sensors.

HEADLAMPS
USING THE HIGH BEAM HEADLAMPS
Push the lever away from you toswitch the high beam on.
Push the lever forward again or pull the levertoward you to switch the high beams off.
Slightly pull the lever toward you and releaseit to flash the headlamps.
SWITCHING HEADLAMP EXIT DELAYON AND OFF
To switch headlamp exit delay on, pull theturn signal lever toward you after switchingyour vehicle off.
To switch headlamp exit delay off, pull theturn signal lever toward you again or switchyour vehicle on.
Note:The headlamps turn off after threeminutes with any door open or 30 secondsafter the last door closes.
ADJUSTING THE LEVEL OF THEHEADLAMPS
Your vehicle has a dynamic leveling system.The headlamps do not require additional aimadjustment.

USING THE TURN SIGNAL LAMPS
Push the lever up or down toswitch the turn signal lamps on.
Set the lever to the middle position to switchthe turn signal lamps off.
Note:Tap the lever up or down to make theturn signal lamps flash three times.
Turn Signal Lamp Indicator
It flashes when you switch the turnsignal lamps on.
Note:An increase in the rate of flashingwarns of a failed turn signal lamp.
SWITCHING THE DAYTIME RUNNINGLAMPS ON AND OFF - VEHICLESWITH: CONFIGURABLE DAYTIMERUNNING LAMPS
WARNING: The daytime runninglamps system does not activate the rearlamps and may not provide adequatelighting during low visibility drivingconditions. Make sure you switch theheadlamps on, as appropriate, during alllow visibility conditions. Failure to do somay result in a crash.

4.Switch Daytime Running Lights on oroff.
The daytime running lamps turn on when allof the following occur:
•You switch the system on.
•You switch your vehicle on.
•The transmission is not in park (P) forvehicles with automatic transmissions oryou release the parking brake forvehicles with manual transmissions.
•The lighting control is in the autolampsposition.
•The headlamps are off.
Note:Other lighting control positions do notturn on the daytime running lamps.

SWITCHING THE DAYTIME RUNNINGLAMPS ON AND OFF - VEHICLESWITH: DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS(DRL)
WARNING: The daytime runninglamps system does not activate the rearlamps and may not provide adequatelighting during low visibility drivingconditions. Make sure you switch theheadlamps on, as appropriate, during alllow visibility conditions. Failure to do somay result in a crash.
Daytime running lamps are always on unlessyou switch on the headlamps or your vehicleis in park (P).
USING THE FRONT FOG LAMPS
To switch the lamps on or off:
1.Set the lighting control to the parkinglamps, headlamps or autolamps position.
Note:When the lighting control is in theautolamps position, you cannot switch thefog lamps on unless the low beamheadlamps are on.
2.
Press the button on the lightingcontrol to switch the front fog lamps onor off.
Note:Only switch the front fog lamps onduring reduced visibility.
Note:The brightness of the daytime runninglamps may decrease when the front foglamps are switched on.

SWITCHING WELCOME LIGHTING ONAND OFF
Welcome lighting turns on the exterior lampswhen you approach your vehicle with anauthenticated device or unlock the doors.
1.Press Settings on the touchscreen.
2.Press Vehicle Settings.
3.Press Lighting.
4.Switch Welcome Lighting on or off.
EXTERIOR LAMP INDICATORS
Front Fog Lamp
It illuminates when you switch thefront fog lamps on.
Turn Signal Lamp
It flashes when you switch the turnsignal lamps on.
